The return to school after half-term can sometimes be a struggle for both children and parents. Changing routine can throw our emotions out of sync and we can find it difficult to get back into it.

The first term is always the longest after the summer holidays and it can take a while to settle into a new school year. Then, after having some time off we get used to doing the things we like and hate the thought of having to return to school.

If your child suffers with anxiety it can make the process even more difficult to navigate, we can offer 1:1 mentoring sessions to help support your child grow in confidence and gain coping skills and techniques to support them with their anxiety.

As the seasons change it can feel natural to want to hibernate away. 🍂

It’s important to try and keep a steady routine to help your mind and body adjust to the darker evenings and colder weather.

If you’re spending more time indoors try to get some sunlight early in the day to give your mood a well needed boost from the sun ☀️

If you find yourself feeling bored and want to spend more time sleeping or scrolling try to focus on a hobbie or create a new one. Give journaling a go, try reading something new or introduce a new exercise. Keep your mind and body active to improve your health and wellbeing.
