✨ I have changed from Moov Yoga to .ribeiro8 ✨

When I chose Moov Yoga, I was in my twenties, full of energy, in love with movement and flow. Very much about my body.

Now, in my mid-thirties, I still move, but I also slow down. I honour my ancestrality, my voice, my children, my spirit.
I hold circles, sing prayers, share ceremonies, and build community at in Bermondsey.

This is me, evolving. Being the change I wish to see.

Small Acts, Big Impact

Sustainability isn’t about being perfect, it’s about making small, mindful choices every day.
For me, it started with a simple commitment: always carrying my (reusable cup). It’s been nearly 18 months, and I can count on one hand the times I’ve used a disposable cup. A tiny shift, but imagine if we all made one small change?

Maybe you’re recycling more, using a refillable water bottle, shopping second-hand, or saying no to plastic bags. Every action adds up. 🌱

🌿 World Mental Health Day 🌿


Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health.

In the past 2 years, I’ve personally lost 2 beautiful souls to su***de. Just to remember it tightens my heart and reminds me how crucial it is that we check in daily with ourselves and have nurturing practices to bring ourselves towards balance.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, please know that it’s okay to reach out. You don’t have to carry everything alone. Seeking help is a strength, not a weakness.

Along with talking to someone you trust or practicing mindfulness, reconnecting with nature can be a powerful healer.
🌳 Whether it’s a walk in the park, sitting under a tree, or simply breathing in the fresh air, nature offers a space to ground, recharge, and find peace. Take time to slow down and reconnect with nature heals us in ways we often overlook.

Practices that fills my cup:
Daily meditation and yoga but I also love to walk in the park to see the beautiful trees & birds, dance, sing, swim, listening to music; cook and eat good food; meet my friends; alone time.

Let’s normalize asking for help and offering support. Let’s be there for one another.
People need to belong and community is so important. You matter. Your mental health matters. 💚

✨ Mindful Friday ✨

As the full moon shines its light on the world right now, I am feeling the intense energy swirling around. Who else is feeling this moon energy both globally and personally. ?

With everything happening, it’s been a challenging time for many, including myself. But in these moments of difficulty, I turn to the energy of Kali, the Goddess of transformation and fierce love. Her untamed, wild spirit gives me the strength to let go of what no longer serves and the courage to face the changes ahead.

Just like Kali, we are asked to embrace the destruction of old ways to make space for new growth.

Now, more than ever, it’s time to trust the cycle of life and transformation, both within and around us. Let’s do the work!

Now we begin: The Study and Practice of Yoga Begins

The Yoga Sutras are comprised of 195 compact sentences that are divided into 4 portions or books (padas). Patanjali explains what is, what a steady mind looks like and the various obstacles that keep us from maintaining balance.

It took me years to understand and interpret the sutras, I love re reading them to time to time as reminder and inspiration for life.

I love this sutra as a reminder that everyday/ moment is an opportunity to begin again.

Yoga it’s a way of life, a journey of ongoing effort. It’s a practice where the mind becomes steady and clear.

Through this practice, we minimize distractions and increase our awareness in everyday life. Yoga helps us understand and accept ourselves and the world around us. This deeper understanding connects us to our inner light, guiding us toward our true potential and purpose.

As I honour the nurturing spirit of mothers, I also extend my care to our planet, the ultimate mother.

In light of the recent floods devastating Rio Grande do Sul in 🇧🇷, let’s come together to support those in need.
Join me this Friday, 17th, Mindful Fridays: Cacao ~ Yoga ~ Meditation where all proceeds will go towards helping those affected.
