Temi’s story, in his own words.

On Sunday 13 July, Temi will step onto No.1 Court at Wimbledon to perform the coin toss at the Men’s Singles Wheelchair Final.

It’s a moment that reflects years of commitment - to inclusion, leadership and sport.

Thanks to the Wimbledon Foundation, Temi was invited to represent our charity and share his journey.

We’re so proud of Temi - and grateful to Wimbledon Foundation for helping bring inclusive sport to the national stage.

From Community Club to Wimbledon Finals 🎾

We’re so proud to share that Temi, one of our Inclusive Activity Leaders, will perform the coin toss at the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Wheelchair Final on Sunday 13 July!

Temi has been part of Disability Sports Coach for over six years - first as a participant, then as a trained coach through our Inclusive Activity Leaders programme with Nike. Now he helps others build confidence through inclusive sport every week.

Thanks to the Wimbledon Foundation, Temi will step onto Centre Court in front of a global audience - and has already had the chance to meet British Number 1's Katie Boulter and Jack Draper at the All England Club.

We’re proud beyond words.

👏 Let’s hear it for Temi!

It’s 's Small Charity Week - and we’re proud to show what a small charity can achieve.

Over the past year, we have supported more than 1,100 disabled people to get active, grow in confidence and feel part of our community.

With a small team and the support of dedicated volunteers and partners, we have seen our work have a massive long-term impact.

- 80% of the disabled people we reached doubled their weekly activity levels

- We trained 175 people through our courses, developing lifelong skills to make sport inclusive for all

- 59% of our workforce are disabled people, compared with just 6% nationally

Rita's daughter Ruby joins one of our Community Clubs every week. Rita said 'DSC sees my daughter the way we do – as someone who deserves to be included and active in her community. It’s a source of joy and something to look forward to every week.'

This is the power of small charities. This is our impact.

Thank you to everyone who makes it possible.

☀️ The forecast says sunshine - the perfect time for sport, friendship and fun!

Tomorrow’s shaping up to be a scorcher, and there’s no better way to enjoy it than at one of our Community Clubs.

Disability Sports Coach clubs are safe, welcoming spaces where disabled people of all ages can get active, make new friends and be part of a vibrant community. From football to dance, boccia to tennis, there’s something for everyone - and every session is inclusive, fun and adapted to support all abilities.

We know that disabled people still face too many barriers to getting active. Our clubs are one way we’re helping to break those down.

One member recently told us:
“Before I came to this club, I didn’t really go out. Now I can’t wait for Saturdays.”

This , we’re celebrating the amazing people who power our work - like Gracia 💙

For six years, Gracia has been giving up her Saturday afternoons to support our inclusive sports sessions at Club Southwark.

She’s autistic and volunteers alongside our coach Debbie, helping to create a welcoming space where disabled people can get active, have fun, and feel part of something.

💬 “I’ve always loved sport and I wanted to share that by being a volunteer. I really enjoy making a difference.”

To Gracia - and to every one of our brilliant volunteers - thank you. You are what makes our clubs so special 👏

What if the best sports coaches weren’t the loudest in the room - but the ones who’d never been given the chance to lead…until now?

This weekend marked the start of Year 3 of our Inclusive Activity Leaders programme - and the energy in the room was something else.

With the support of Nike, the programme brings disabled and non-disabled people together to explore what it really means to be a leader in sport - and level the playing field.

🗣️ Our Founder and CEO, Peter Ackred, said, “This isn’t about creating leaders who ‘fit in.’ It’s about giving people the tools and confidence to lead on their own terms.”

The first weekend saw participants tackling everything from teamwork to practical coaching, building not just skills but belief.

We can't wait to see what this group achieves!

“It’s great for my benefit, it’s great for community, and it’s great for my skills.”

Zain, who has a learning disability, has been part of our clubs for almost a decade.

In partnership with Every Body Moves and ParalympicsGB, Zain joined coaches, volunteers and our CEO Peter Ackred to share the difference our Community Clubs make.

His experience speaks volumes. Our work isn't just about playing sport once a week - it’s about the connection, confidence, and community it builds for a lifetime.

At Disability Sports Coach, we’re proud to reduce loneliness and isolation by bringing disabled people together in safe, welcoming spaces where everyone belongs.

Big news from Studio You, This Girl Can, Sport England and Nike- and we’re so proud to be part of it 🙌

New inclusive PE resources have launched to help girls across the country move with confidence, joy and on their own terms - and three of our very own sport coaches are front and centre 💥

Marie, Freya and Caitlin, who all trained through our Inclusive Activity Leaders programme to begin careers as inclusive sport coaches, took part in the official photoshoot.

Each embodies what this movement is all about - representation, inclusion and breaking down barriers.

This campaign shows what’s possible when disabled women are seen, valued and leading the way in sport.

We’re excited to share these resources far and wide — and to keep championing inclusive PE in schools and beyond.

🏆 We’re proud to share that we’ve WON the Mayor’s Award at the Wandsworth Moves Together Awards! 🏆

Club Wandsworth is a space where disabled people of all ages can play sport, make friends and connect with their community.

Not only was Head Coach Debbie, pictured, given the award by the Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Sana Jafri - but she got to celebrate with Paralympian legend Kadeena Cox!

A huge thank you to our amazing members, volunteers, families, partners and supporters — this award belongs to all of you!

As Debbie says, “We are all different, but we are all equal.”
