Our annual Great Active Rake Off Competition aims to encourage our services to transform their outdoor spaces, while also fostering collaboration and teamwork among colleagues, residents, patients, the individuals we support, and their families and friends.

This year’s Great Active Rake Off has truly blossomed into something remarkable. We’ve seen the outdoor spaces come alive with colour and empty flowerbeds transformed into lush, life-filled gardens.

The individuals we support at Brambledown Road, our residential service in Sutton for adults with learning disabilities and autism, had a wonderful time at the Lloyd Park funfair in London.

From thrilling rides and games to a few prize wins, the day was packed with fun and laughter.

Residents from Kingly House, our specialist neurological residential service for adults, and Kingly Croft, our specialist neurological rehabilitation residential service in Leicestershire, recently enjoyed a day out at Monkey World in Dorset.

The 65-acre ape and monkey sanctuary, rescue centre, and primatarium saw our residents learn about the animals while taking in the sights and sounds of the natural surroundings.

Trips like this are more than just fun – they’re an important part of our holistic approach to care, offering our residents the chance to explore new environments, build confidence, and enjoy shared experiences.

At Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, our neurological rehabilitation service in South-East London, patients and staff enjoyed the Wimbledon tennis final in true summer style - with a strawberries and cream trolley.

Congratulations to our residents who correctly predicted the winners of this year’s men’s and women’s tournaments — they each received a gift card to mark the occasion.

It was a lovely way to bring everyone together and enjoy a summer tradition 🧡.

King's Norton Hospital, our acute mental health service that supports adults with severe and complex mental health conditions in Birmingham, has officially opened its new gym, enhancing patient recovery through access to physical activity and wellbeing support.

From cross-trainers and treadmills to group fitness classes, the gym was developed in response to patient feedback and is already making a difference.
