There have been many social media posts about drinks being - the info is not accurate. Read on and share! 🍸
The most common illegal drugs used to spike drinks are GHB, ketamine, and benzodiazepines - such as va**um and rohypnol.
The reason: they don’t produce a taste or smell, making it hard for the victim to know they’ve been spiked until it’s too late.
There’s no foolproof way to see if your drink has another substance added to it, and you shouldn’t use these methods to rule out a spiking. Posts like, ice cubes sink is false‼️
Initially, there may be some dust or flecks visible on ice immediately after drugs have been added to a drink or some cloudiness in the drink, but in a club it’s not bright and people are unlikely to stare at their drink every moment.
The most used drug, rohypnol, had a dye added to it which can be seen in clear drinks - however the unbranded make of the drugs, do not have this - ❌👃 👅
So, best to be aware of the symptoms, which typically appear between 5 - 30 minutes.

If you notice any unusual symptoms or behaviour in a friend, seek help straight away! 🔔 Long term effects are not pleasant and can be life threatening. 🏥

In my somewhat limited experience, it’s about awareness, observation and always having a plan 🅱️ if things don’t turn out as you imagine, responsible behaviour, ordering and watching, drinking your own drink, and having fun, within your own boundaries 🥂
