Reach Flower Pods are horticultural day centres based in Southwell and Newark. We are part of Reach Learning Disability. Our head office is in Southwell.

Reach Learning Disability supports over 250 adults in Nottinghamshire. We have five centres: Reach Southwell, Reach Newark, Reach Mansfield, Flower Pod Southwell and Flower Pod Newark. We support our clients and their carers by offering courses and activities eg gardening, computer skills, arts, drama, singing and dance to promote health and wellbeing, raise confidence and self esteem. We also organise social events and holidays.

Good luck to Ollie Thurlow who is challenging himself at the Richmond Marathon today! Starting in Kew Gardens and finishing at Hampton Court Palace, with three famous bridges along the way, there will be some interesting sights. Hopefully it's not too wet! 🏃💚

At Flower Pod Southwell we made a delicious sweet potato base quiche using tomatoes and fresh basil from our very own polytunnel! 🌿🍠

This hands-on cooking session connects nature, nutrition, and new skills. From sowing seeds to harvesting and cooking, our clients are gaining confidence, independence, and a real sense of achievement. 💪🧑‍🍳

We’re so proud of what our group created and it tasted amazing! 😋

🌞 Late Summer Bliss with Southwell’s ‘In, Out and About’ Group 🌿

The group has been soaking up the last of the summer sunshine with a beautiful countryside walk, embracing the sights and sounds of nature. Their day continued with a peaceful yoga session under the fabulous new, accessible gazebo at Flower Pod — the perfect setting for mindfulness and movement.

It was a wonderful blend of connection, calm, and the great outdoors. 💚

🌾 Harvest Festival Week – Day 1! 🌼
We know it’s a little early… but there’s so much to harvest in the Flower Pod garden, we just couldn’t wait!

We kicked off the week by gathering plants and natural objects from the garden to create some beautiful, Andy Goldsworthy-inspired art. 🍂🎨

Nature + creativity = the perfect start to our harvest celebrations! 🌻
