Please note that our Seaford Sauna will be closed from 23rd - 27th March for a glow up + maintenance.

We will reopen on Saturday March 28th.

So please don’t panic if you see that the sauna has gone, it will be back!

Sauna Storytelling with Fleur Shorthouse

The Little Mermaid will be told in the sauna, over four sittings by Fleur. The story is faithful to Andersen’s original, but told like a memory with no script.

Fleur will bring delightful Birch & Eucalyptus whisks, Wisteria and Feverfew soothing foot-rinse, Borage, Rose and Aloe ices and Seaweeds inspired sauna treatments to create an immersive sensory experience for enhanced nature connection and imaginative thinking.

The event is created with adults in mind, but if you want to bring a young person, they will be welcome.

The Little Mermaid; spider-silk soft, She watches from the waters. Her Grandmother’s stories pluck notes of longing from her curious heart. She learns of how to love another, and become a rose tinted cloud.

Fleur Shorthouse is a sauna storyteller, council member of the British Sauna Society, Director of Story Commons CIC, and member of the Society for Storytelling.
She creates immersive sauna story rituals.

A LITTLE BIT OF HOUSEKEEPING

Just a gentle reminder to make yourself aware of these simple rules to follow in our and other saunas -

Please bring a towel to sit on inside the sauna.

Please check with other sauna users before you put water on the stones.

Listen to your body + leave the sauna when your body tells you to.

Stay hydrated + avoid alcohol before, during and after your sauna.

Tell us if you have any health conditions or contraindications for sauna use.

If you are entering water please safely observe the tides and temperatures

Be respectful + kind to other sauna users and please be mindful of what you are talking about within the sauna.

And lastly enjoy yourself

SOCILA SAUNA BOOK CLUB in collaboration with and

A collaboration of two joys, sauna and reading. Just like any other book club, but better, because it’s in the sauna.

Book for your seat on the website, then go along to collect your book. Enjoy reading your book in your own time.

The earlier you book your seat the longer you will have to read it.

carefully selects books around 200 pages centred on community, hope, and humanity.

When you arrive for your Social Sauna Book Club in SOUTHWICK you will be met by Kelly or Emily who will gently guide the conversation, and don’t worry, there are plenty of breaks.
