Today is Time to Talk Day, the UK's biggest mental health conversation day, so many of us are encouraging people to break the stigma by talking openly about mental health issues.

With that in mind, we’ve pulled together a few prompts to help you reach out to a loved one, neighbour, colleague, or anyone who you think might need a pair of ears just to listen.

It’s not easy to get the conversation going, but sometimes all people need is to know you’re there and willing.

Add your prompts to the comments below πŸ’š

We were honored to welcome back Sarah Holmes , CStJ, BEM, Chancery Officer, for an informative follow-up session this evening. Building on her previous contributions, Sarah provided a comprehensive overview of the various Priory officer positions, detailing the specific responsibilities and the intricate ceremonial attire associated with each rank.

The session concluded with an enlightening explanation of the different Priory flags displayed within St John Chapel. Members gained a deeper understanding of the heraldry and history represented by these banners, further enriching our appreciation for the traditions of the Order.

EpiPen, Allergies and Anaphylaxis Information Session.

Tonight, we attended a highly informative session led by Lizzie, focusing on critical topics related to allergies, anaphylaxis, and the use of EpiPens.

During the session, we explored how allergies can trigger severe allergic reactions known as anaphylaxis, and why prompt action with an EpiPen is essential in such emergencies. We also had the opportunity to look at different types of EpiPens, gaining practical insight into their design and how they vary.

πŸš‘ Weekly Meeting Night πŸš‘

Yesterday our Adult volunteers came together for another weekly meeting, covering two vital topics: Childhood Conditions πŸ‘ΆπŸ©Ί and EPRF Training πŸ“‹

We explored how to recognise and respond to common childhood conditions.

From recognising symptoms to understanding the right first aid response, it was a valuable session that helps us stay prepared to support children and families in our community when they need us most.

As well as the importance of completing EPRFs (Electronic Patient Report Forms) accurately. Correct use of EPRFs is vital when treating patients, ensuring clear communication, continuity of care, and the highest standards of patient safety.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to another informative and productive evening. πŸ’š
