Unfortunately we are all out of Hand Gel and face masks!
Re: Coronovirus
————Advice for the public—————
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth whilst out and about.
- WASH YOUR HANDS.... as often as possible but more so after coughing, sneezing, before eating, after toilet use, when caring for sick people.
- alcohol based hand gel is also useful whilst out and about.
- Wash your hands/use hand gel if you’ve been in a public place or touched something which others may have been in contact with e.g. a shopping trolley!
- sterilise your public spaces as often as possible e.g. door handles on the main door to your home.
- FACE MASKS are not very effective in protecting you from the coronavirus. The virus is not airborne. It is spread through droplets, hence why hand washing is very important!
Face masks should be reserved for those who are carriers of the virus.
- due to a national shortage of alcohol based hand sanitisers, the closest alternative we would recommend is rubbing alcohol (above 60%) on clean tissue. Dispose of the tissue after use.
That’s if you can get hold of any!
HOWEVER: Hand washing with warm water and soap is the best form of prevention. You should be able to sing the ABC song in the time that it takes to wash your hands effectively!
- avoid close contact with others when you are experiencing cough or a fever
- AVOID spitting in public!!
