Sunday morning Yin Yoga at The Zen Den…
Allow the week loosens its grip.
There’s something quietly sacred about arriving here before the world fully wakes up. The pace is slower. The lights are softer. Shoes are kicked off, phones are forgotten, and the noise of “shoulds” and to-do lists begin to fade. You settle onto the mat not to achieve anything, but simply to arrive in your body, in your breath, in yourself.
Yin yoga doesn’t rush you. It invites you to stay. To soften into stillness, to meet sensation without trying to change it, to notice what comes up when there’s nowhere else to be. Muscles melt, joints open, and somewhere between the long holds and quiet pauses, your nervous system remembers that it’s safe to rest. It’s not flashy or fast. It’s deep, grounding, and honest.
This class gives you an hour where you’re not performing, fixing, or striving. An hour where you simply listen.
My personal favourite part of the Sunday morning yin yoga is the moment at the very end, when the poses are done, the body is heavy and relaxed, and you’re resting in stillness. That pause where everything feels spacious. Where the breath is effortless, the mind is quiet, and you realise you’ve given yourself exactly what you needed. Not more effort. Just presence.
It’s a gentle reminder that rest isn’t something you earn, it’s something you choose, and choosing yourself, even briefly, can change the tone of the whole week ahead.
