This isn’t the easiest post to write, but it feels like the right time.
I’ve not been active on here for a little bit and when I have I done it because of the pressure I have to, and I want to be honest with you about why.
Many of my regular clients already know, but for those new to Emilia’s Waxology: behind the scenes, I’m a mum to three incredible mini adults, two of whom lives with an extremely complex condition — the kind that even the medical professionals still struggle to fully understand.
This past seven months my daughter has needed a lot more of me. And that meant making some real-life choices. Between showing up on here or actually having a moment to breathe, have a coffee, or just sit in silence (because caring is relentless), I chose the latter.
It hasn’t been easy — but it’s been necessary. And I just want to say thank you. Truly. To every single one of you who’s stayed, supported, booked, recommended, and trusted me with your choice of appointment either it’s waxing or reflexology — I see you. I am so grateful for the continued support, for the wave of amazing new clients, and for the loyalty of my wonderful regulars. I don’t take a second of it for granted.
Business-wise, I’ve never been busier. And I am beyond proud of what Emilia’s Waxology is becoming. But I’m also a human — not just a Waxologist with magenta branding and a cheeky caption. A real woman juggling the chaos, the quiet, the overwhelm, and the joy of running a business and raising a family with needs so complex, even the experts struggle — and unique just doesn’t fing cut it.
So if you’ve messaged and I’ve been a bit slow to reply, or if my grid’s been a little less glossy — thank you for understanding. I’m still here, still waxing, still loving what I do… just taking a little more time to honour life’s current season.
If you ever need to step back to care for yourself or someone you love — please know that it’s not weakness. It’s brave. It’s human. And the people who matter won’t go anywhere.
I’ll be back posting a little more regularly again soon (and yes, the cheeky wax chat will resume 😜). But for now, just sending you all so much love and appreciation.
