I watched Rob and Rylan’s Passage to India last night and it reminded me just how much we learn about other cultures when doing spiritual work. They celebrated Diwali and visited Temples dedicated to the many Gods and Goddesses. They were mostly figures we’d recognise and those we may call ‘Ascended Masters’ in our own practice.

The simplicity of connecting to Gods and Goddesses was exactly what I feel spirituality is about. No frills, no showmanship, just deep, focused and joyful connection.

One of the Goddesses we work with in Awakening the Goddess™️ is Saraswati, the Goddess of learning, inspiration and music. They spoke of her in the show and shared the beauty of music to honour her. Shortly after, a feather fell for me and it was the confirmation I needed to know all will be ok this year.

For the past few months I’ve been trialling a new morning routine with the aim of achieving better connection to my mind and my spiritual self. It’s three tiny things that have been making my day better.

1. I start with a little prayer/thought of thanks. I thank the Universe for a new day and think about things I’m grateful for. Always the people around me and today for the beautiful sunshine pouring in.

2. Next I spend 10 minutes learning something new. That’s Latin for me at the moment, you could choose whatever makes you happy. This replaced the doom scroll.

3. Then it’s up and at em! That is whatever each day looks like, it could be movement, work, fun etc. I’m reading more each year too.

These are tiny, manageable habits that have worked for me.
