The Right Person for the Job

Ear wax removal is a specialist procedure to be carried out by professional, qualified practitioners, more importantly those with a health related background.

A build up of ear wax can be obvious, but not always. There are many other reasons why you may be suffering with similar symptoms to wax build up.

It is important the right diagnosis/ advise is given and the correct treatment is offered.

Having a qualified practitioner with health related/ medical knowledge, will ensure the right treatment plan is put in place for you.

Unfortunately there are many companies out there that are happy to train non qualified individuals to carry out this procedure. This training lasts just a day .

A day does not teach an individual to recognise other potential conditions other than ear wax and have the ability to directly refer for further support.

A day does not teach a person to work within NMC guidlines.

A day does not teach a person the rich , indepth knowledge a nurse or medical practitioner has learnt over their training and career.

Your ears ..... your hearing ..... your right to ask ......

Is the practitioner NMC Registered?

Can the practitioner provide you with an NMC pin ?

Is the practitioner CQC Registered?

Are they insured ?

Any qualified practitioner will be happy to provide you with these details, so never be afraid to ask.
