✅A reminder that we change to our new Total Triage system on Monday 1st December 2025.

📱We ask that as many of you as possible use the NHS App to submit your queries and requests - as this identifies you immediately from our end and makes the process much smoother. It is free to download from your usual app store and easy to set up.

💻We have been trialling our processes over the last few weeks and while we have already made significant changes, as with any new system we anticipate there to be some teething issues to iron out. We appreciate your patience with this and do not anticipate that it will affect your care in any way.

🎉We are very excited about this change, we can't wait to be more accessible for you all.

🎉 We are delighted to announce a move to Total Triage with AccuRx from 1st December 2025.

💻 We have been using Accurx for some time now, and many of you will be familair with the process of submitting an online request via this platform. By moving to a total triage model with Accurx we can vastly increase our capacity. Their website explain things very well: https://www.accurx.com/total-triage

ℹ️ Please also take the time to watch this video, which explains how we will soon be working and helping you - https://youtu.be/CvsxpA3Ul1o?si=JZwI1t4IrJ4fhGRk

🩺 We have seen this working in local practices and discussed with others who have made this successful and know this will help you. Our capacity will be increased by a robust triage system, meaning that you will receive the most appropriate care in a timely manner.

🗓️ You will have a wider choice of appointment availability to book directly. We have already increased the number of face to face appointments we offer and our telephone lines will be freed up,

📵 What if you don’t have a smartphone or can’t use the internet?
You can still telephone your surgery or visit in person. The receptionist will ask you some questions about your request to fill out the online form on your behalf. The surgery team will then assess your request and will be back in touch with next steps.

You can find more information about this process here: https://support.accurx.com/en/articles/8608032-patient-support-a-better-way-to-contact-your-gp?fbclid=IwY2xjawN-ooNleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETBscGthQVlxdlhEYWptblRPc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHrLvZOrFZNo6zHY8D_-u9M_PHfPz88MZoZFKKsn3lYo0yQLeKNkHEh-ulU9Z_aem_KBVUBIuMcJhAtRrqODoGUA

Discover everything you need to know about Accurx total triage models, including how we're supporting you with the move to this way of working.

📣 Beechfield Medical Centre – Patient Experience Survey 2025 📣

Thank you to everyone who took part in our recent Patient Experience Survey. Your feedback helps us understand what’s working well and where we can continue to improve. Below is a short summary of what patients told us when comparing the most recent survey with the previous one.

📈 What’s Improved Since the Last Survey

1. Easier to Get Care - Many more patients said it was easy to seek medical care or advice. This includes phone calls, face-to-face appointments, and online contact. Patients reported that contacting the practice now feels more straightforward and accessible.

2. Shorter Waiting Times - A large number of patients felt they received care or advice as soon as was necessary. This shows improvement in how quickly we are able to respond once you contact us.

3. More Face-to-Face Appointments - Lots more patients were seen in person compared with the previous survey. This reflects our commitment to offering face-to-face consultations where needed.

4. Better Overall Experience - Most patients said their consultation or interaction with us worked extremely well. More people also reported that their needs were definitely met, and general satisfaction with the practice was higher overall.

🗣 What Patients Continue to Tell Us

While feedback was overwhelmingly positive, some patients shared that:
🟣They sometimes still have to wait longer than they would like.
🟣Not every experience goes as smoothly as it should.
🟣A small number felt their needs were not fully met.

We take all feedback seriously and will continue working to improve access and communication.

💬 What We’re Doing Next

Based on your feedback, we are:

✔ Continuing to increase availability of face-to-face appointments
✔ Improving our telephone and online access systems
✔ Reviewing processes to reduce waiting times
✔ Ensuring all patient concerns are addressed respectfully and effectively

🙏 Thank You - Your views shape how we improve our services.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences—together we can make Beechfield Medical Centre the best it can be for our community.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, there is now a 24/7 dedicated line to call for urgent support.

A person’s emotional or mental state can deteriorate quickly, and this can mean that they are experiencing a mental health crisis or a mental health emergency.

By calling 111 and selecting Option 2, you can reach the Lincolnshire 111 Mental Health Team. They can quickly assess people’s needs and determine the best way to support.

The service is for all ages, including children, and is also open to those with neurodevelopmental needs.

The service is available to anyone facing a mental health crisis, which could include:

- Changes to your mood
- Withdrawing from people (close family, friends, or work colleagues)
- Not taking care of yourself like you usually would
- Having increased thoughts about your life not being worth living
- Excessive worry
- Feeling out of control or unable to cope
- Feeling anxious about leaving the house
- Hearing voices or seeing things that others can’t
- Thinking about harming yourself.

If people have physically harmed themselves, or if their life is at risk, then they should continue to call 999 or go to A&E.

The line is managed by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT).

Those who require emotional support or less urgent signposting can visit the H.A.Y. Lincolnshire website at https://haylincolnshire.co.uk/, or self-refer to Lincolnshire Talking Therapies at Lincolnshire Talking Therapies service.

Those seeking emotional wellbeing and mental health support for children and young people can continue to call the Lincolnshire Here4You advice line on 0800 234 6342 (open 24/7). Children and young people can also self-refer online at www.lpft.nhs.uk/young-people/lincolnshire/young-people/self-referral.

Alternatively, the Shout text messaging service is also available for those who are unable to call. People can text 'SHOUT' to 85258 to start a conversation, via text, with a trained volunteer, who will provide free and confidential support.

There are also lots of community resources available such as Night Light Cafes, community hubs and other groups and activities that may support people. People can search for their local area and what is available at https://www.haylincolnshire.co.uk/
