John had a fantastic day out with staff recently! After a relaxing drink at the cafe, he enjoyed some much needed retail therapy, picking out plenty of things to decorate and organize his flat. He couldn't wait to get home and get stuck in. John also treated himself to some new clothes making it a day full of fun, independence and great choices! 🤗🛍️

Harry had a fantastic day out on a drive-through safari trip, supported by Haddon House and his mum 🚙✨ He was amazing throughout, pointing excitedly at every animal he spotted. The perfect ending to his adventure? His favourite meal from KFC! 🍗💚

A huge well done to everyone at Haddon House! Staff, along with Bradley and Jack, proudly visited Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall today to donate an incredible £182 raised from their World Food Day celebrations. 👏💚 They were warmly thanked for their efforts and even received a certificate to mark the achievement - what a fantastic team effort! 🌟

🌳 Matthew asked to go for a walk to the local park, so he headed out with his staff and his friend at the Lodge, Michael. Together they enjoyed a stroll in the fresh air and a relaxing cup of tea. ☕💚

Jack had a wonderful evening out on Saturday with Heather, our Registered Manager! 🌟
He enjoyed a trip to McDonald’s for dinner and impressed everyone by choosing his own meal with just a little support. Afterwards, Jack and Heather took a stroll to Aldi, where he picked up some biscuits before heading home. A great evening full of independence and choice for Jack! 💪

Mark enjoyed a trip into Lincoln with his staff, where he had a fresh hair and beard trim before heading out for lunch. Naturally, he picked his favourite – bangers and mash with peas and gravy – and loved every bite! 🥰

On Sunday, staff and Levi left Shakespeare House and walked to Sainsbury’s, where Levi independently chose a drink, some popcorn, and donuts. Since Sunday is treat day, it was the perfect time for a little indulgence. After buying their items, they headed to the park. There, Levi enjoyed his donuts while swinging on the swing. They then took a short walk around the area before returning home. It was a simple but enjoyable outing. 🍩

✈️ On Saturday, Daniel from the Willows Unit rediscovered his love for plane spotting! He visited a viewing area at a nearby RAF base to watch the aircraft take off and land — and couldn’t stop giggling with excitement throughout the day. 💙

Jamie enjoyed a trip out with staff to McDonald’s for lunch — one of his favourites! 🍔 After a tasty meal, they headed to Bedford Park, where Jamie watched the ducks on the river and soaked up the peaceful surroundings. He also had fun at the playground, spending time on the swings and making the most of the sunny day. 🌞

💎 Chris was up bright and early for his exciting trip to Castleton! He and Yussef travelled by train and bus, spent time shopping, enjoyed tasty meals out, and most importantly, Chris got to chat with shop owners and visit Treakcliff Cavern to learn more about his passion for Blue John crystals. ✨ He had a brilliant time and said he really enjoyed the whole trip!

We had a lovely strawberry tea last Saturday which was enjoyed by all that came. We held a raffle and the prize was a luxury hamper which was very kindly donated by Glenholme Healthcare Group with all proceeds going to our residents fund. Memory Lane provided entertainment for us by singing old songs and new. Special thanks to all the staff that were involved to make the afternoon such a success. Thanks also to Councillor Jan Whitbourn and the Royal British Legion for coming along. 😀 ☀️ 🍓 🍰
