Caring for someone’s environment when they’ve lost their way is often where it starts for the Good Companions team. Whilst in respite care Help & More team set to and spent two days deep cleaning and decluttering to make home safe and healthy again for one lovely person. Nick and his team transformed his space by repurposing items no longer needed to the families chosen charity and replacing the mattress for a brand new one from hills, fixing strip lights and toilet roll holder amongst other bits and bobs that needed attention 💜💜💜

📢 Did you know that men are three times more likely to take their own lives than women?

Mental health touches everyone, regardless of gender. Yet, societal pressures often lead men to feel isolated in their battles. Without ways to express what they’re going through, many end up facing their struggles quietly and alone.

In 2023, over 6,069 lives were lost to su***de in the UK. Three-quarters of these were men.

These figures impact real people, real families, and real communities.

November is , a time dedicated to addressing a topic often left in the shadows. For too long, social expectations, stigma, and outdated ideas about masculinity have kept men from seeking help. But it’s time to change that narrative. This month, we're focusing on breaking the stigma around su***de. Each week, we'll share and debunk a common myth about su***de to challenge stereotypes and open up honest conversation.

Let’s spread awareness, break down barriers, and encourage men to seek the support they deserve 💜
