I have always enjoyed exercise and going to the gym, where I did my first yoga class and have been practicing yoga ever since. My love of yoga has grown over the years, I have experienced the physical challenges and later I found a deep emotional connection which has took me on a path of personal discovery and growth. In 2013 I qualified as a 200 hour Yoga Teacher under the guidance of Brian Cooper PhD. On the 19th December 2014 I retired after working for over 30 years in the catering industry across both the public and private sector, managing large scale catering outlets. Throughout my career I have been afforded the opportunity to develop an expansive knowledge and skills base, which has been easily transferred and utilised outside of the industry. I learnt the importance of authentic communications which ultimately made me realise I needed to be true to myself and follow a new path. In 2014 I participated in the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training which changed my life and gave me the courage to retire which I had been longing to do, and concentrate on my Forrest Yoga and personal spiritual journey. I have completed a Forrest Yoga mentorship programme my mentor is Sandra Robinson Forrest Yoga Guardian. The program gave me the opportunity to develop my knowledge of the sequencing and practice what I had learnt in the teacher training. I love to practice and teach Forrest Yoga it transforms physical and emotional pain into freedom, it has given me the tools to take control of my own life and now I want to bring that healing to my students; to embrace that we all have the power to follow our heart’s desire, to nourish our bodies, uplift our soul’s and go a bit deeper.
