This afternoon we put our residents’ knowledge to the test with a multiple-choice Elvis Presley pop quiz — and they truly surprised us with how much they knew!
We began with a lovely small group gathering in the café area, then continued the quiz in the lounge, before finishing with some one-to-one quiz time in residents’ rooms. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, memories being shared, and a real love for the King of Rock ’n’ Roll shining through.
A big well done to everyone who took part — you certainly left us all shook up! 💙✨

This morning’s activity was a real treat! 🍞☕
We spent the morning making delicious bread and butter pudding, with a little production line that worked wonderfully and kept everyone involved. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed taking part, and even more so tasting the results of their hard work this afternoon alongside a lovely cuppa. It was a cosy, feel-good activity all round — and very tasty too!

This morning our residents enjoyed a cosy coffee morning in the café, sharing plenty of smiles and good conversation. We spent some time chatting about our goals for 2026, creating a lovely list of things everyone would like to try and achieve this year 💭✨
The morning was then finished off with a fun game of bingo, bringing lots of laughter and a little friendly competition 🎉

The day included a wonderful live singer, plenty of singing and dancing, and a delicious party tea to finish. ☕🍰 The atmosphere was full of smiles, music, and happy memories, and it was truly heart-warming to see how much everyone enjoyed themselves.

Our Story

St John's is a specialist dementia care home situated in the heart of the market town of Spalding. Set in a large mature garden the home has been recently refurbished to include it’s own themed pub, cafe, hair dressing salon and luxurious lounge and dining room. Our Well-being and Activity Coordinators provide meaningful opportunities in a positive active environment where residents and family can take part and enjoy events, activities and hobbies.
