If you need a body that’s going to function at its best, you need several things but one of the most important is your diet.

We can all be guilty of that chocolate bar when we feel hormonal, or we are feeling low.

There are also foods we can become intolerant to that make our bodies function less well.

Our guts also are our second brain containing lots of hormones and enzymes to keep us not only physically well but also mentally.

If we don’t fill our bodies with the right nutrients it will cease to function to keep us well

A diet needs to be balanced.

Over the last few weeks, I have been as guilty as the rest of us for not necessarily putting the right foods into my body.

And I can feel the difference.

It’s like giving a diesel car petrol.

It won’t function if it’s not got the right fuel. It will cough and splutter to its destination.

It’s Monday and I’m rearing to go
Why?
This last weekend has been a time for some much needed self-care

I purposefully steered away from my phone in fact it spent the whole of yesterday in a completely different room.

Saturday consisted of A PJ day.

I did a few household jobs but as well as that I spent the day resting, reading my book, and doing soduko the old-fashioned way

Yesterday consisted of a lazy morning followed by a lovely long walk in the sunshine.
Today I feel energised and ready to begin a new week.

Self-care is so important for us all.

Time away from the pressures of social media and just general pace of life can benefit us all.
