Found a clump of beautiful Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) growing quite happily in a discarded pile of tarmac.

Traditionally made into sweets and syrups, it has sadly fallen out of fashion due to it containing pyrrolizidine alkoloids (which may or may not damage the liver. I won't go into the iffy research here)

I still make a syrup from the flowers and use it personally for:
🏵 Sore throats
🏵 Coughs
🏵 Asthmatic bronchospasms

"What would love do" Today I finally got a tattoo.

About 15 years ago when I was training with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers (now the Healing Trust) I went to a seminar lead by Jack Angelo and fell in love with this quote of his: a reminder to always be heart-centred. I even chose emerald green for the heart chakra

I'm noticing more and more that the word Adaptogen, like microbiome, is becoming mainstream. No longer just the arcane domain of the Medical Herbalist these amazing plants are being recognised as an ally we can all benefit from

Adoptogens are those herbs which help your body adapt to physical and/or mental stress. Most herbalists add at least 1 to most of their patient's medicines as we recognise the stresses of modern lives play out in most of us

Adaptogens can be gentle like oats, or more pokey like the ginsengs. My favourite is Ashwaghanda (pictured). It's latin name Withania somnifera refers to its benefits as a sleep aid although, like all our herbal allies it does so much more

Found some lovely Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) a couple of days ago so decided to make this recipe from The Herb Society . I've substituted coconut sugar for brown sugar. Coltsfoot is a traditional and effective cough remedy but this is for personal use only as it contains controversial pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which in high doses may cause liver damage so I'm not able to prescribe it currently. Anyone make their own cough mixture of remember coltsfoot rock? I used to love it as a kid ###

A while ago Wendy-Alchemy and I joined forces to help others on their light path. We started running local groups but Covid took us online. We have just finished our first 'Stepping into Your Light' online course and now have a timetable of courses for 2021 almost ready for sharing. Keep an eye on our Love You Alchemy page for updates ###

Last night was the last session in a 7 month journey we called ‘Stepping In To Your Light; The Chakra Series’. It has been so lovely to see the group develop. It was our first Zoom course since having to stop running the in person sessions back in March.

We have set up a schedule for the new year primarily on Zoom with a view we plan to schedule face to face events when we can again.

The website will be live in the new year but in the mean time do contact us if you are drawn to us. Lots of exciting things are planned!!
