Please don’t ignore the red flags.
There is always a way out.
RIP Holly 😢
Holly’s life ended in the most brutal way at the hands of her abuser. She was just 26 years old. In her memory, we are sharing red flag behaviours of perpetrators of domestic abuse and information on the help and support available.
This is another Christmas that family face without Holly, pictured here as they would like her to be remembered – a loving, happy girl who should have had her life ahead of her.
Red flag behaviour:
🚩 Jealousy, suspicion, rage, control – this is not the behaviour of a loving partner.
🚩 Love bombing you one minute, only to give you the silent treatment the next.
🚩 Asking you repeatedly where you are going or where you are.
🚩 Following you, monitoring your phone, or checking on you relentlessly.
🚩 Isolating you from your friends and family.
🚩 Harming, or threatening to harm your pets.
🚩 Threatening to hurt themselves if you leave.
Help and support:
➡️ The Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service (LDASS) offer information, advice and where eligible, specialist intervention support.
➡️ If you have concerns that a partner or ex is abusive, you can ask us under Clare’s Law (for yourself or someone else) if there is information that we hold that indicates they may be a risk.
➡️ You can use 'safe spaces', available in pharmacies, where you can find out about your options and the support available.
➡️ The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is always open (including Christmas Day): 0808 2000 247
➡️ We are always open: call us on 101 or 999 if it’s an emergency.
