For Liam 🩵
Made in loving memory of a much-loved son, a small tribute this Easter. 🌷

04/04/2026

For Tony 💛
Thank you for sharing him with us, we’ve painted this egg in his favourite colour as a small moment of remembrance this Easter.🌷

For Rosalind ❤️
It’s been an honour to create this in her memory, thank you for letting us be part of remembering her this Easter.

Easter is built on traditions. For many of us, those traditions were shaped by someone we love and miss. This year, remember them by continuing one small ritual they inspired ✨

Let’s settle this. If someone loved gardening, football, or 80s disco… should their send-off match their vibe? Personal touches can make things feel more human. But we’ll let you decide, thoughtful or too far?

26/03/2026

If Easter feels different without your special someone, share their name with us and we’ll paint a remembrance egg in their honour.

We can’t make one for everyone, but we hope you’ll join us in remembering together 💙

We believe small moments can make a meaningful difference.

At Handforth Funeralcare our memorial letter basket is here for anyone who wishes to write a final letter to their loved one.

For many people, putting words on paper can bring comfort when saying goodbye feels overwhelming. These letters are placed inside the coffin, as a private way to share memories, thoughts or things left unsaid.

There’s no right or wrong way to use it, we’re here to support you, in whatever way feels right 💙

Let’s settle this, we’ve all heard that phrase. The one that’s meant to help, but absolutely doesn’t. Grief doesn’t come with a script, and neither should the things we say about it. What’s the line that gets your eye-roll vote? 👀

Though loss touches us all, how we grieve is shaped by faith, family and tradition. From Sikh to Jewish to Christian practices and beyond, each offers meaningful ways to navigate sorrow and find comfort. Read more here: https://spr.ly/6180B6nKLo

Our colleague Mahalia reflects on Jewish mourning traditions and the role of faith and community in supporting her through grief. From the importance of coming together at funerals, to sitting Shiva, where loved ones gather to support those grieving.

Her story is one of many that helped shape our How the Nation Grieves report, exploring the different ways people across the UK experience bereavement.

Grief looks different for everyone. If you feel comfortable, we’d love to hear about your own experience in the comments. Your story might help someone else feel less alone 🩵

Kerry is our Funeral Plan Arranger this is some great feedback for her, dont forget you can leave a Google review.

Hya Kerry and Coop.co.uk.

On behalf of my husband and myself if it is okay I would just like to leave a Positive feedback after our appointment today at 3pm.

It is not the best subject to talk about (deaths and funerals) but Kerry put us both at ease with her pleasant and friendly chat. We had everything explained to us step by step, making us both feel relaxed and upbeat rather than upset and downbeat. So with a big big thank you for making today bearable.

Kerry you are a credit to the Co-op and will go far.

On a lasting note we hope it's a very long time till we all meet again.

Thank you and best wishes

We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the generosity of our community, we have collected 650 books to be donated to County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. These books will help replenish the hospital library, offering patients a comforting escape and entertainment during their stay.
From children's stories to adult fiction, non-fiction, and puzzle books — every single donation will make a difference. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped spread the word. Your kindness and support mean the world to us and to those who will benefit from these books.
As the books are being collected this Monday, we’re now pausing donations for the time being. But please keep an eye out — we’ll soon be supporting other great causes, and we’d love your help again!
Thank you for your continued kindness and generosity
