This is your final chance to book onto our Year 1 Talent ID event — entries close Wednesday 4th March ⏳

Due to high demand, this is our third Talent ID event of the year, designed especially for Year 1 players. A fun, safe and professional environment introducing children to 3v3 football, with professional scouts in attendance and a proven pathway into teams for those who wish to progress.

Brilliant work from our Barnard Castle ballers today! 🔥

Our younger group showed fantastic progress again — sharp movement, growing confidence, and you can really see them starting to think about when to take tight touches and when to open up with bigger ones. Great awareness developing!

The older group raised the tempo, working on quick ball movement in tight areas, explosive changes of direction and using speed to win their battles. They put it all into practice in a competitive game — high energy and top effort all round.

⚽️ Brilliant session tonight with our Spennymoor ballers! ⚽️

A huge well done to all the players! 👏

Our younger group showed fantastic movement skills once again. It’s great to see them really starting to think about when to use smaller, controlled touches and when to take bigger touches into space. The progress each week is brilliant!

Our older group focused on moving the ball confidently in tight spaces, sharp changes of direction and quick bursts of speed to win their races. They then applied everything into a match-based game — and the effort and intensity were outstanding! 🔥

Proud of every single player tonight. Keep working hard and enjoying your football! 💙⚽️

⚽🔥 Well done to our Spennymoor ballers tonight! 🔥⚽

Our younger group were fantastic, developing their movement and dribbling skills through a fun obstacle course packed with different challenges 🏃‍♂️🌀⚽ It was brilliant to see their confidence growing each round! 👏

In our older group, the focus was on intense 1️⃣ v 1️⃣ battles 💪⚔️ Players had to show real skill and speed to beat their defenders 🏃‍♂️💨 while defenders had to be tenacious to win the ball back and launch counter attacks 🚀⚽ Great effort and determination all round — love to see it! 🙌

🔥 Well done to our Barnard Castle Ballers today! 🔥⚽️

What a session! Despite some last-minute changes, the attitude from every player was ⭐️ spot on ⭐️ — energy, effort and smiles all round! The kids were brilliant from start to finish and really helped bring the buzz to our sessions 👏😁

👏⚽️ Well done to our Spennymoor Ballers tonight in Powerplay Match Week! ⚽️👏

It was fantastic to see so many of the children confidently applying the skills we’ve been working on in training to real match situations 🙌🔥
There were some amazing moments of effort, teamwork, skill and brilliant team spirit throughout the night 💪🌟 We’re so proud of every single baller!

🖤⚽ PROUD MOMENT ⚽🖤

We’re incredibly proud to hear that one of our original ballers, Tommy, has signed an academy contract with Newcastle United!

Tommy attended our sessions from the age of just 4 years old, right up until he joined Barnard Castle FC. From day one he showed what he was about — skilful, athletic, and always playing the game with a smile on his face.

Tommy is one of those players who always did that little bit extra and it’s no surprise to see his hard work paying off. We’re so proud of his achievement and grateful to have been part of his football journey right at the very beginning.

👏 Well done, Tommy — keep smashing it! 👏

At MD, we truly believe the foundation we give children, from grassroots through to academy level, is right up there with the best — and Tommy is a perfect example of that pathway.

⚽️ What a fantastic afternoon at our 3v3 Football Festival!

Brilliant spirit, developing skills and most importantly lots of smiles and enjoyment from the children 😄

We truly believe the opportunities and environment we create for children are up there with the very best in the area. Our programme offers an outstanding first step into football and player development, while also building friendships, resilience and important life skills beyond the game 💪🤝

At MD, our football-for-all philosophy means nobody is ever turned away. Combined with our proven pathway into teams this gives parents real reassurance and ensures every child has the opportunity to grow, develop, and belong 🌱
