A much loved grandad of Sarah, Katie and Kirstie. Richard was much loved and a good friend to many. Cherished nana of Maddison, Danny, Evie, Maisie, Lillie, and Max. Also, a loved sister and auntie. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday 4th March 2026, 12pm at St. Paul’s Church, Spennymoor. Peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, aged 71 years. Jan, beloved wife of John, much loved mam of Jonathan, a dear nana to Charlie and Sam, a loved sister of Geoffrey and treasured sister-in-law to David, Tracy, Ann, and Colleen. A cherished aunt, cousin, and good friend to many who will be sadly missed. Funeral service to take place on Thursday 26th February 2026, 1:30pm at Wear Valley Crematorium. On behalf of the family, we sadly announce the funeral arrangements for the late Brenda Sanderson. Brenda peacefully passed away on 28/01/26, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle. Beloved and devoted wife of Russell, much loved mam of Dean and Melanie, cherished grandmother of two, and proud great-grandmother of three. A trusted and dearly valued friend to many, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, encouragement, wisdom, strength, and service to others lives on through us. A memorial service in celebration of Brenda’s life will take place at Durham Crematorium on 19/02/26 at 1:30pm. Any donations in memory of Brenda are kindly requested to The Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust, and may be made directly through their website (teamsolan.org.uk) or the donation box provided at the Crematorium.
