On behalf of the family we sadly announce the funeral arrangements for the late Ross Sutherland (of Spennymoor). Devoted husband of Debbie, treasured dad of Adam and Ellie. Loving grandad to Vincent-Ross. Ross was a dearly loved brother of John, Gail and Jean and brother in law to Linda and Terry. A much loved uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Ross was also a good friend to many.
Following a short illness in hospital, Ross was brave and courageous throughout, giving strength to those around him.
Family flowers only, donations in lieu to The British Heart Foundation. Would friends and family please meet at 11.30am on Monday 26th January, 2026 for a service at Wear Valley Crematorium. Ross wanted his life to be celebrated, he wants you all to remember him fondly by having the best day. Ross’s request (Hawaiian shirts)

John was dearly loved by all of his family and friends. Would friends and family please meet for a service at Holy Trinity Church, West Cornforth at 12.45pm on Wednesday 14th January, 2026 and then onto Wear Valley Crematorium for a committal at 1.30pm. On behalf of the family we would like to announce the funeral arrangements for the late Barrie Hindmarch (of Spennymoor) who sadly passed away on Saturday 6th December, 2025 aged 87 years old.
Dearly loved husband of Barbara and his late wife Joyce. Dad to Colin, Ken and Adi and step dad to Amanda and Dean. Barrie was a loving father in law, grandad and step grandad to many.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers to the local Community Team of McMillan Nurses. Would friends and family please meet at 1.30pm on Monday 5th January, 2026 at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon.

On behalf of the family, we sadly announce the funeral arrangements for the late David Sains (of Spennymoor). After a long illness, with his loving wife by his side, aged 78 years. Dave, beloved husband of Tracey, much loved dad of Beth, a treasured brother of Barbara and the late Derek, a cherished uncle and good friend to many who will be sadly missed. Funeral service to take place on Friday 19th December 2025, 12pm at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if so desired, to Free Patient Transport- Great Aycliffe Cancer Support and Macmillan Cancer Support. A donation box will be provided at the crematorium.
