✔️ Help manage conditions such as ingrown toenails and fungal nails

☀️ The season for moving more is here

At Spennymoor Foot Clinic, we often see an increase in foot, heel and lower limb pain as activity levels rise, whether that’s golf, running, or simply enjoying longer walks.

Your biomechanics, the way your feet and body move play a huge role in how comfortably and efficiently you move. When something isn’t quite right, it can lead to those frustrating, ongoing aches and pains.

Our biomechanical assessments are designed to get to the root cause, not just treat the symptoms, helping you move better, feel better, and stay active.

There’s so much that happens behind the scenes at the clinic, ordering stock, writing detailed treatment notes, managing referrals, prescribing bespoke insoles, keeping up with CPD and ongoing training, maintaining and cleaning the clinic, answering emails and phone calls, updating the website… the list goes on.

Every single part of this is done with one goal in mind: you.

So that when you walk through the door, everything is ready. Your appointment runs smoothly, your treatment is thorough, and you receive the highest standard of care in a clean, professional, and well-prepared environment.

Because great patient care doesn’t just happen in the treatment chair, it starts long before you arrive.

Footwear matters 👣

Any podiatrist will tell you that many common foot problems stem from what you wear on your feet. While we often focus on outdoor footwear, it’s important to remember just how much walking we do at home. Going barefoot or wearing unsupportive, floppy slippers can aggravate certain conditions and slow down progress.

One of our patients brought these in today to show us what she’s been wearing around the house and we’re pleased to say it’s making a real difference alongside her treatment plan.

Supportive, well-fitting indoor footwear can play a key role in improving comfort and aiding recovery.

We think they’re absolutely fab, so we thought we’d share 👌

“How long have you had that for?”

It’s one of the most common questions we ask, and the answer is often months… sometimes even years.

Foot problems rarely go away on their own, but they are usually very manageable with the right care.

The sooner you come in, the easier it is to treat.

📅 Don’t put it off any longer

Ever feel like you’re walking on a small stone… or even a shard of glass? 🦶🏼

This is a corn.. a very common issue we see in clinic, often found on pressure points like the ball of the foot.

Corns develop due to repeated pressure and friction, and while they may seem small, they can be surprisingly painful.

🚫 Corn plasters and acid-based treatments often only provide temporary relief and can sometimes make the problem worse.

✅ The solution? Professional care.
At Spennymoor Foot Clinic, we safely and effectively remove corns for instant relief 🙌🏼

Persistent hard skin or callus can be uncomfortable and difficult to manage at home.
Regular filing may not always provide lasting results, especially if the underlying cause isn’t addressed.
At Spennymoor Foot Clinic, we safely and effectively remove callus and provide advice to help prevent it returning.
