Pyrite grows in this amazing cubic form due to it's natural tendency to form symmetrical shapes when in a state of supersaturation and the presence of sulphur and iron ions

Also known as Fool's Gold, due to it often being mistaken as gold when mining, recent research suggests Pyrite can contain trace amounts of real gold ๐Ÿงˆ

Moonstone remains one of the most magical crystals to me! โœจ I love its mesmerising beauty and folklore!

This crystal has captured peoples attention across time and various cultures, with its shimmering light (called adularescence) invoking the feeling of the moon. Many ancient cultures believed the stone to be crystallised or frozen drops of moonlight, with celestial power dancing underneath the surface.

Due to its association with the moon, this crystal is often also linked to the sea and the tide, with Hindu myth claiming that the most beautiful moonstone is washed ashore by the tides every 21 years. Moonstone is also often called the Travellers Talisman, as legend tells us sailors would carry the stone with them when setting off on voyages, as they believed it would bring them luck with the tides. ๐ŸŒŠ

Moonstone is also often associated with prophecy and divination. The Ancient Greeks believed holding Moonstone in your mouth during the night of the Full Moon would grant you the power to look into the future

It is most often associated with feminine deities such as Diana, Selene, Aphrodite, Hecate, Hanwi and Cerridwen. This, coupled with its lunar associations, mean this crystal is often thought of as a deeply feminine crystal, linked to the phases of the moon ๐ŸŒ™ ๐ŸŒ‘ ๐ŸŒ’
