Did you know there is a part of your brain that looks for what you desire. Be it purple trainers, a way to do something (or not do it), or even a yellow car. When you find what you are looking for your brain rewards you with a feeling of well-being and satisfaction. So all you need to do is clear your mind, focus on what you want, get the message through to your brain (that’s where the hypnosis comes in), and wait for your brain to work it out.
So in a nutshell, that’s partly how Solution focused therapy works. The other part is all about emptying stress buckets and learning to relax and sleep properly. But that’s for another post, another day.
