Today we had the honour of leading Vivian on her final journey to the beautiful Our Lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs in Cambridge.
A service truly fitting for her deep faith filled with heartfelt readings, treasured hymns, and a final blessing spoken gently over her before she was taken for a private cremation.
The church stood in quiet reverence as family and friends gathered, united in love, memory, and prayer. Moments like these remind us that a farewell is not only about goodbye, but about honouring a life lived with devotion and grace.
As the final hymn echoed through the arches

“Angels, sing her to thy rest.
May the choir of angels lead her into paradise;
may the martyrs come to welcome her
and take her to the holy city, the new and eternal Jerusalem.”
May she rest in eternal peace. 🤍

Our promise to the community has always been simple: professionalism, compassion and the highest standards of care.
Training and qualifications matter to us because they show our families that we are serious about what we do.
While helping to grow our funeral home and supporting families every single day, Scott has also been studying hard behind the scenes. We are delighted to share that he has passed all four of his funeral directing exams achieving distinction in both written and oral assessments.
This achievement strengthens our commitment to you and to every loved one entrusted into our care.
Congratulations, Scott we are incredibly proud.

In the funeral profession, trust is everything.
Being part of a recognised association isn’t just a badge it’s a commitment to standards, ethics, and continual improvement. That’s why we are proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD).
Membership means we are held to a strict Code of Practice, regularly inspected, and committed to ongoing professional development. It ensures the families we serve receive care that is transparent, compassionate, and accountable.
That’s why, when choosing a funeral director, it’s so important to look for membership of either the National Association of Funeral Directors or National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF). These associations exist to protect families promoting trust, honesty, clear pricing, and the highest standards of care within the profession.
In a profession where families place their absolute trust in us at the most difficult time of their lives, being part of a respected association reinforces our promise to uphold those standards every single day.

Integrity is doing the right thing, especially when families need you most.

Today we visited Our Lady and the English Martyrs RC Church in Cambridge ahead of a service taking place later this week.
It was a special moment as Scott was reunited with his former Parish Priest, Father Bienn always meaningful to reconnect in a place filled with so much history and faith. While they caught up, I took a quiet moment to admire the true beauty of the Catholic Church; the architecture, the stillness, and the sense of peace that fills every corner.
There’s something about standing in a sacred space that gently reminds you why these places mean so much to so many.

Today we took Lee on his final journey to Oakfield Crematorium with his companion George the giraffe. The service was full of love, tears, and laughter as we sat and listened to a life well lived, beautifully delivered by the wonderful Sophie Harris. Lee made his final journey on a Triumph motorcycle hearse a fitting tribute to a true gentleman who loved his motorbike and the freedom of the open road. The road may end, but the journey never does.
He rides now where the skies are endless and the roads are free. Rest in eternal peace Lee.

Today we took Dave (Grandad) on his final journey to Maldon Fields Crematorium, and today’s service was something a little different and deeply special, as it was directed by Joe.

Joe is best friends with Scott, one of our company Directors, and when Scott and Katy were called and asked to care for Dave, it filled us with immense honour and pride to have been entrusted with such a personal farewell.

The service was filled with love and meaning, led beautifully by Caroline Pridmore. We listened to heartfelt stories that captured Dave’s spirit, followed by a moving visual tribute that reflected a life truly lived his way.

With a strong country and western theme running throughout, it felt perfectly fitting.
A reminder that some souls are born to walk their own road, with music in their heart and freedom in their step.
🤍
Ride easy, Dave. May the road rise up to meet you, and may you find peace beyond the horizon.

Yesterday, we had the absolute honour of taking Miss Whitlock on her final journey to Bedford Crematorium.
A lady of pure elegance and timeless style, whose presence was felt by all who knew her. The service was led so beautifully by the wonderful Sophie Harris, with flowers so thoughtfully chosen and lovingly arranged by the amazing Jo.

It was a service filled with cherished stories, precious memories, and photographs that captured an extraordinary 97 years of a life truly well lived.

Her coffin, as beautiful and elegant as she was, was crafted by the wonderful team at Steve Soult a fitting tribute to a remarkable lady.

May you rest in eternal peace, Miss Whitlock. Your legacy, love, and grace will never be forgotten. 🤍

Today we had the honour of taking Donald, fondly known by everyone as Don, on his final journey. 🤍
It was a service filled with beautiful memories, shared stories and quiet moments of reflection. A touching visual tribute captured a life well lived, reminding everyone present of the love, laughter and legacy Don leaves behind.

Simply the Best played during the service, a fitting tribute to a man who truly was just that to so many.

To walk alongside Don’s family today and help guide him on this final journey was a true privilege. Our thoughts remain with all who loved him and will carry his memory forward. 🤍🤍
