✨Shockwave involves applying sound waves from a hand held applicator to a tendon or tissue that has become a source of pain and / or delayed healing

✨Examples of areas shockwave can treat include (but are not limited to):
Tennis Elbow, Achilles Tendonitis, Patella Tendonitis and plantar fasciitis

✨The sound waves pass through the skin, soft tissues / tendon and can improve blood flow, facilitate cell metabolism and regeneration: pushing forwards the body’s own healing processes.

✨Loading / strengthening exercises are always used alongside shockwave, to facilitate collagen production and remodelling and release of growth factors needed for recovery.

✨Shockwave can also positively influence nerve sensitivity and reduce inflammation, contributing to pain relief.

✨A treatment session typically lasts 5-10 minutes
