🎶🛼 A Show to Remember at Manor House! 🛼🎶

Recently at Manor House, we had a truly unique treat, a singer on skates! Gliding through the home with songs and smiles, the performance was full of energy, fun and a little bit of magic. 💫

The residents were delighted by the music, with many clapping along, singing and even having a little dance in their seats. It was a joyful afternoon that brought everyone together and created such a lovely buzz around the home. 💃🎤

Big thank you to our talented performer for making it a day to remember!

We’re thrilled to share that our activities team have had some wonderful new planters made especially for the residents. The planters have been thoughtfully designed to be accessible for everyone, including those using wheelchairs.

The planters were funded through money raised by our amazing activities team and they’ve already brought so much joy!

We spent a lovely day outdoors in the enchanted garden, preparing the soil and planting lots of beautiful flowers together. It was a fantastic way to enjoy the fresh air, connect with nature, and create something special as a community 💐

🌟 Recently at Manor House… 🌟

We were delighted to welcome pupils from Rowley Park Primary Academy for a fun-filled morning of games, music, dancing and plenty of smiles!

These intergenerational visits are truly special, as they spark joy, encourage connection and bring a real sense of energy and warmth to the home. Interacting with the children gives residents a wonderful boost, promoting social engagement, emotional wellbeing, and lots of laughter all round.

Thank you to the pupils and staff for such a heartwarming visit. We had a fantastic time and hope you did too!

🎤 A Musical Treat at Manor House! 🎶

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Pablo the singer to Manor House – and what a fantastic time we had! From toe-tapping tunes to singalong favourites, the home was filled with music, dancing, and plenty of smiles. 💃🕺

Residents, staff, and visitors all joined in the fun, creating a joyful and uplifting atmosphere that brought everyone together.

Thank you, Pablo, for such a brilliant performance – we can’t wait to have you back!

🎉 Celebrating Father’s Day at Manor House 🎉

We had a brilliant time celebrating Father’s Day here at Manor House! 💙

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic party filled with music, games, and plenty of laughter. From classic games around the home to good food and great company, it was a lovely way to honour all the wonderful father figures in our community.

🎲 Game On at Manor House! 🎯

Recently at Manor House, residents have been having a brilliant time getting stuck into some larger-than-life games, including giant snakes and ladders, oversized noughts and crosses, and a friendly game of darts!

Not only are these activities lots of fun, they’re a great way to encourage gentle movement, social interaction, and a bit of friendly competition too. The laughter and smiles said it all! 😊

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful singers to Manor House, and what a fantastic time it was! The music brought such energy and joy to the home and you could see the smiles all around.

Many of the residents were tapping their feet, clapping along, and even getting up for a little dance! It was a lovely afternoon filled with laughter, music, and shared moments.

Live performances like this are always a highlight in our activity calendar, as they bring people together and boost wellbeing in the most heartwarming way. 💛

We were delighted to welcome the Littleworth Choir for a special performance recently, and what a beautiful afternoon it was!

Their wonderful harmonies filled the home with music, creating such a joyful and uplifting atmosphere. Residents, staff, and family members all thoroughly enjoyed the performance, with many singing along, smiling, and even shedding a few happy tears.

Musical moments like these can have a powerful impact on wellbeing, especially for those living with dementia. Live music helps to spark memories, reduce anxiety, and promote connection, making it a truly meaningful experience for everyone involved. 💛

As part of our activity schedule at Manor House, we love keeping both minds and bodies moving with fun, light-hearted games that everyone can enjoy!

Residents have recently been enjoying a mix of balloon tennis, armchair ping pong, and even a few friendly games of pool. These activities are not only great for staying active, but also spark plenty of laughter, conversation, and a little friendly competition too! 🎱🎾

Keeping active in ways that are accessible and enjoyable is a key part of life at Manor House—and we’re always up for a game! 💛

🎉 VE Day Celebrations at Manor House! 🎉

Last week, Manor House was full of patriotic spirit as we celebrated VE Day with a wonderful party! 🎊

The home was beautifully decorated both inside and out with Union Jacks, bunting, and cheerful displays to mark this special day. Residents and staff came together to honour the occasion and enjoy a brilliant afternoon of fun.

A huge highlight of the day was our live singer, who brought the house down with classic favourites that had everyone singing and clapping along! 🎶👏

It was a day full of music, smiles, and community pride—just the way VE Day should be celebrated. 💛
