Residents at Manor House enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration with a special visit from singer Dan.

The room was filled with music and smiles as residents joined in with a sing-along, with some even getting up for a little dance. There were also plenty of instruments being played, adding to the fun and creating a lovely, lively atmosphere. 🎶

As part of the day, residents also took part in a creative writing activity where they wrote messages to heaven for Mother’s Day. With support from staff, the messages were carefully tied to a balloon before being released into the sky - a thoughtful and meaningful moment that allowed residents time to reflect and remember loved ones.

It was a truly special day, bringing together music, memories and moments of connection for everyone at Manor House. 💐🎈

Residents at Manor House have been making the most of the outdoors by spending time out in the garden this week.

Getting outside to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine is always a highlight and the garden provides a wonderful space for residents to relax, chat and take in the surroundings.

Residents at Manor House have been enjoying a relaxing and creative activity this week with aqua painting.

Aqua painting is a wonderful activity that allows residents to create beautiful pictures simply using water and special reusable pages. As the water touches the page, colourful images appear, creating a lovely sense of achievement and enjoyment without the need for paints or brushes.

The session provided a calm and mindful way to spend time together, with residents enjoying the process of watching the pictures appear while chatting and sharing the moment with one another. Activities like this are a great way to encourage creativity, relaxation and gentle focus.

Eyes down at Manor House! 🎉

There was plenty of excitement in the lounge this week as residents enjoyed a lively game of bingo together.

Bingo is always a favourite here at Manor House, bringing lots of laughter, friendly competition and of course the all important call of “House!”. Residents enjoyed the social side of the game just as much as the chance to win a prize.

It was a lovely way to spend time together, with plenty of smiles, cheers and a great atmosphere throughout the room.

We’re already looking forward to the next round! 😊

March is here, and at Manor House we’re looking forward to all that spring has to offer. As the days become a little longer and brighter, it’s a lovely time to enjoy the changing season and everything that comes with it.

Spring brings new opportunities for activities both indoors and out — from creative sessions and social gatherings to spending time in the garden as the first signs of colour begin to appear. It’s a wonderful time of year to enjoy fresh air, lighter days and time together.

We’re excited for the weeks ahead and all the seasonal activities planned as we welcome the arrival of spring. 🌷

We’re looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day at Manor House!

Tomorrow we’ll be hosting a special Valentine’s celebration and we’re excited to welcome back the wonderful singer Becca Gee Singer , who will be entertaining everyone with a fantastic live performance. The party begins at 2pm and family and friends are warmly invited to join us for an afternoon of music, smiles and celebration.

We can’t wait to share this lovely occasion together! 💖

Love is in the air at The Manor House! ❤️

We’re looking forward to a wonderful week ahead as we prepare to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a range of themed activities for residents to enjoy. From romantic films and Valentine’s quizzes to bingo sessions and creative craft activities - including making embroidered cardboard hearts - there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved and share special moments together.

Residents will also enjoy time reminiscing about past Valentine’s celebrations, sparking conversations, memories, and plenty of smiles. We’re especially excited to welcome Becca Gee, who will be joining us to provide wonderful entertainment and help make the celebrations even more memorable.

It’s set to be a lovely week filled with laughter, music, creativity and togetherness and we can’t wait to celebrate! 💕
