Train your brain to let go of all the worries outside of your control and refocus in on what is within your immediate control.

Often it's easier to blame other people or external circumstances for our poor attitude and behaviour because taking responsibility for our own poor choices is difficult, uncomfortable and doesn't come naturally to most of us.

If you find yourself behaving in ways you don't want to, unable to motivate yourself to achieve your goals, being short and snappy with people around you this can often be an indication that you need to address something within yourself. Life can be difficult and if we have experienced trauma, never been taught to regulate our emotions effectively or had effective emotional regulation modelled to us consistently in childhood we can then struggle as adults.

Seeking support from a therapist can help you to explore the reasons you behave in ways that don't align with how you want to behave. Often you will explore how your emotions impact your thoughts and your behaviours and why, this can be a really effective first step in positive behaviour change therapy.

If ever you feel as though you are drowning under the pressures of life take a moment to consider that life has never been so difficult to navigate as it is now and although you feel may sometimes feel you aren't doing great, navigating each day is an achievement in itself!

For every piece of health advice there is counter advice ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš•๏ธ

For every news report there is a counter report sometimes from the same publisher ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

For every positive social media post there are negative responses to it ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘ฟ

For every beautiful photograph there are claims it was produced by artificial intelligence, perhaps it was it's getting hard to tell ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

It's more important then ever that we don't get bogged down by the things that are out of our immediate control. Take time each day to focus on your breathing, rest your mind from constant artificial stimulation and refocus your senses, thoughts and feelings to their natural state ๐Ÿ™

Lowering calorie intake alone to lose weight can work but you will lose muscle!

When we have little Muscle mass we leave ourselves prone to illnesses, pain and immobility.

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โžก๏ธExercise is the number one most important thing we should all be doing to support our health. You don't have to go to a gym to exercise you can do body weight workouts at home, you can walk and you can use household items as weights if you have none.๐Ÿคธ

When I was registered Disabled and couldn't turn over in bed without crying in agony I began lifting tins of beans in bed as weights, I would use my kitchen sides to do standing slightly inclined push ups, I walked and walked and walked even though it hurt and eventually I got a bike and began cycling. It was a whole process and most of it was a mental one ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ

It takes Mental Strength to build Physical Strength. It takes acceptance of your current state, determination to improve, commitment to keep showing up for yourself and consistency in healthy dietary and lifestyle choices. I lost 8 stone in one year without ever entering a gym. I incorporated exercise into my every day in every way I possible could and went from registered disabled to healthier then I have ever been!

Even if it seems impossible, be open to the fact it might not be! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‹

Fasting is another invaluable tool for healing.
The 16/8 Fast can be a great place to start as you can time it so that half of your fasting window is whilst you are sleeping if you are getting eight hours of sleep a night!
Be sure to drink plenty of water๐Ÿ’ง
Often we can experience food cravings purely because we are dehydrated!
I would always urge every person to apply their common sense to fasting and complete your own mini risk assessment to determine whether or not it is right for you!
Fasting doesn't have to be done every day, you can start off just one day a week and increase it from there when you are ready.
The great thing about fasting is it's totally within your control, it's free and it's flexible ๐Ÿ˜Š

Home cooked food is always a winner ๐Ÿ‘Œ

With the price of eating out and takeaway food increasing at a rate I have never witnessed before, now could be a great time to begin to prioritise home cooking!

With a whole host of health benefits it's also an activity you can do with your family and friends to strengthen relationships and build crucial skills!

Food can be medicine, it can also reduce the likelihood of us becoming ill in the first place if we eat properly. Chicken Noodle Soup also named Penicillin Chicken Noodle Soup is always a winner during cold and flu season which seems to occur winter, spring, summer and fall these days!
