18/02/1976 – 29/01/2026

Katie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday 29th January 2026 after fighting so hard with unwavering determination, remaining positive and happy throughout. Her strength, courage and spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her.

A devoted wife to Darren and a much-loved Mom and best friend to Jessica and Lucie, a loving sister to Steve and a cherished mother-in-law to Jack and Taylor. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and many friends.

A celebration of Katie’s life will be held at Stafford Crematorium on Wednesday 25th February 2026 at 12:30pm, followed by an afternoon of memories at The Moat House, Acton Trussell, Katie’s favourite place.

As many knew, from the age of 18 Katie was teetotal, living a healthy lifestyle and valuing health and wellbeing. In keeping with her wishes, the day will be alcohol-free.

At the family’s request, there will be no departure from the family home. All mourners are kindly asked to meet directly at the crematorium for Katie’s arrival, allowing the family privacy at home before leaving. Everyone is respectfully asked to dress smartly.

This week we were honoured to carry out a direct cremation service that was truly personal and deeply moving 🤍🐾

When the family came to see us at Primrose Cottage, they met Neo, our beautiful family Border Collie. During those arrangements, they shared how much their Mum absolutely loved dogs, and asked if Neo could travel in the hearse with her and be the one to page her into the crematorium. It was a simple request, but one filled with love and meaning.

Moments like this remind us that direct cremations don’t have to be impersonal. With care, compassion and thoughtful personal touches, they can be just as beautiful, dignified and full of heart as any service.

This week, we were deeply honoured to be chosen to care for and conduct the funeral for a beautiful little boy.
It was a day filled with love, tenderness and quiet dignity. He was taken on his final journey in a white carriage, drawn by white horses, a truly special and gentle farewell, created with the utmost care and respect.
Our hearts are with his family and loved ones, whose strength and love were evident in every detail of the day. It is a privilege we never take lightly to support families through such profoundly difficult moments, and we remain humbled by the trust placed in us.
Forever loved, forever remembered. 🤍
