Over the past few weeks, we’ve been incredibly touched to receive a number of beautiful gestures from thoughtful thank you cards and messages to bottles of wine, boxes of chocolates and lovely flowers.

Each and every one means more to us than words can say, and we are truly grateful to be remembered in such a kind way. 💐🍷

That said, we never do what we do for thanks or gifts. We do it because we genuinely care, because every family matters, and because it’s a privilege to support you through such important times.

Your kindness stays with us, always. 🤍

This week, our Mercedes hearse stood proudly outside St Luke’s Church, Tittensor, as we had the privilege of supporting a truly beautiful service followed by a burial.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to provide a calm, dignified presence, allowing families the time and space to say their final goodbyes surrounded by L❤️VE.

It was an honour to be part of such a meaningful farewell.

💜 We’re still here for you - just in a new place (for a while)

As redevelopment of our Inpatient Unit begins, our inpatient care is temporarily moving to Ward 8 at County Hospital (opposite Nightingale’s restaurant).

All other hospice services continue as normal, with our team providing the same compassionate, specialist care every day.

While inpatient care is based at the hospital, we’ll be creating a larger, more modern space for future patients and their loved ones.

We have been overwhelmed by your generosity and support. Thanks to you all, we were able to deliver a wonderful collection of Easter treats to Katharine House Hospice, Acorns Children’s Hospice, and Crispin Court, helping to bring a little joy and sweetness to so many this Easter.

Your kindness truly makes a difference, and we are so grateful to be part of such a caring community.

This week we said goodbye to our beautiful Grandma Doreen 🤍

A woman full of warmth, kindness, and quiet strength whose love was stitched into the lives of everyone who knew her. It felt only fitting that we honoured her in such a personal and meaningful way… with her favourite hobby by her side.

Her coffin was delicately engraved with a needle and thread a simple yet powerful symbol of the many hours she spent sewing, creating, and caring for others through the things she made. Every stitch she ever sewed was an act of love, and this week, that love carried her on her final journey.

It was the perfect tribute to a truly special lady.
