✨ Our seasonal visits to Kingswood Trust continued last week! ✨

This time, Vera, Audrey, Kath and Margaret enjoyed a lovely morning out together. For Audrey, it was her second trip with us from W.A.C. 💜

We started the day with coffee ☕️ and cakes 🍰, before heading out to explore Pam’s Music Trail 🎶🌳🚶‍♀️. A wonderful outing filled with friendship, fresh air, and fun! 🌼

🌍✨ International Day of Peace ✨🌍

Each year on 21st September, the world comes together to recognise the International Day of Peace, a United Nations-sanctioned day dedicated to harmony, unity, and the absence of war and violence.

To mark this special day, Emma joined our wonderful residents in creating a beautiful Peace Display Board ✌️. Together, they shared their own thoughts on what peace means to them – from kindness and friendship to calm moments and happiness. 💛

It was a truly meaningful activity that reminded us all of the importance of peace in our daily lives. 🌼

Our residents have been busy in the kitchen once again, baking up some delicious treats for everyone to enjoy. The smell of freshly baked cakes filled the home, and our cake stall was packed with tasty creations! 🍰😋

Our residents had a wonderful time exploring the De BeleefTV UK – a digital activity table specially designed for people living with dementia. 💻💙

They enjoyed listening to music 🎶, completing puzzles and games 🧩, and most importantly, sharing smiles and laughter together. 💕

It’s a fantastic way to keep minds active while having fun! Families and friends are warmly encouraged to join in and give it a go with their loved ones during visits. 💞

This week has been all about building wonderful connections:

🎶 On Monday, we welcomed Local Vocal, who shared: “What a fabulous evening singing for the residents at Wheaton Aston Court and their carers. We absolutely love performing for you, and we enjoy ourselves just as much as you do.” 💜

☕️ On Wednesday, our residents enjoyed a lovely morning out at St Mary’s Church for their coffee morning.

🍰 Today, we visited the Memory Café at Wolverhampton Grand – a fantastic morning filled with music, dancing and friendship. 🎤🎶

It’s always special to strengthen our links with the local community 💕

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today at our Summer Fete 🎉☀️ It was a fantastic afternoon filled with fun, laughter, music, and community spirit. 💛

🌟 Some more of the Activities at Wheaton Aston Court in the last couple of Weeks🌟

Our Activities Team have been busy bringing smiles and fun to our residents with a brilliant mix of sessions:

🖐️ Holly, our Activities Co-ordinator, created a sensory board and led a chess learning session ♟️.
🌳 Chris and Holly took Mary and Josie on a lovely trip to Kingswood Trust for fresh air and nature.
🎶 Chris and Emma hosted a fantastic 1950s reminiscence day, filled with memories, music, and laughter.
🎈 And to keep everyone moving, we enjoyed a lively parachute game together!

Another week full of variety, creativity, and connection 💖.
