Getting Christmas-Ready at Wheaton Aston Court 🎄

Last week, our residents and team members helped decorate the home ready for Christmas. 🎅🤶

It was a lovely, relaxed activity that brought back lots of happy memories, with residents chatting about past Christmases while getting creative with festive arts and decorations. 🎨⛄️

The home is now looking very festive, and it was great to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the build-up to Christmas together. ❤️🎄

🎅 Santa sent one of his little helpers to Wheaton Aston Court on Tuesday!

Our fantastic fitness coach James arrived dressed as an elf for his fortnightly exercise class, bringing plenty of festive cheer (and a good workout!) to our residents.

Everyone had a brilliant time keeping active, having a laugh, and getting ready for the Christmas season. 🎄✨

Our residents have been getting into the festive spirit this week with some beautiful Christmas flower arranging and decorating! From choosing their favourite blooms to creating stunning seasonal displays, everyone got stuck in and produced some truly gorgeous arrangements.

It was a lovely, relaxing activity full of smiles, creativity and plenty of Christmas cheer. ❤️

🎅🤶🌲 Wheaton Aston Court Care Home – Advent Calendar Countdown: Week 1! 🎄❄️

Our first week of the Advent countdown has been full of festive fun and plenty of smiles!

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

⛄️ Snowman crafts and puzzles – a lovely start to the season, with lots of creativity on display.
🧝‍♂️ Elf Day – our home was full of Christmas cheer (and a few cheeky elves!).
🍫 Chocolate tasting – definitely one of the residents’ favourite activities so far!
🎳 Just bowl and a bit of cricket – keeping everyone moving and enjoying friendly competition.
🎤 Live singer Glynn Jones – we wrapped up the week with our first live performance of December, and it was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all.

Our lovely residents enjoyed a wonderful festive trip out to The Oakley Arms last week, the perfect chance for hot drinks, delicious puddings, and taking in that crisp winter atmosphere. ❄️❤️

It was a lovely way to start the run-up to Christmas, filled with chatter, treats, and plenty of smiles.

🌟 Our Final Memory Café Trip of 2025! 🌟
Today we enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Grand Theatre for the ABBA Tribute Show – a fantastic way to round off the year’s outings. 🎤✨

It’s always lovely to continue building our community connections, and today was no exception. 👍👏

And of course… we didn’t forget the important things — raffle 🎟, coffee ☕️ and cake 🧁 to make the afternoon even sweeter!

At Wheaton Aston Court, our residents and team have created a special Remembrance Wall Display to reflect, remember, and celebrate the memories of those who served.

Day 2 of our spooky celebrations brought Pumpkin Crafts galore! Residents got creative decorating and designing their very own pumpkins, from funny faces to frightful designs! 🎨✨
