All are okay, according to this 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis. it found milk’s temperature had no clinically significant effect on babies’ body temperature, heart rate, or oxygen level. Can anyone help? I'm looking for 2 lactating volunteers who would be available on Thursday 29th January for about 30-45 minutes at 11am to support with a practice run of our new fl**ge fitting kit. You'd find out which fl**ge size/ shape suits you and is most effective for milk expression and we benefit by test driving our new equipment.
This does not include any feeding consultations / advice and is predominantly for skills practice.
Non mobile babies are welcome too!

I had a really interesting meeting this week with a researcher from Oxford University regarding ni**le shields and their evidence / effectiveness / usage.
It was lovely to see so much enthusiasm about changing the narrative and being evidence based in our decision making.
I'm hoping to keep working with them in the future and excited to see their research project progress.

Ni**le shields have been used by breastfeeding women for hundreds of years, yet we're only now conducting the first systematic review of their effectiveness.

Fabulous feeding support and baby massage group today, not only did we cover massage for legs and tummy we also discussed baby cues, oils for massage, starting foods at 6 months, skin to skin and paced feeding!
The group held on Monday afternoons is baby and parent led - we have time to discuss topics that are relevant in a safe supportive space.
Really looking forward to week 2 where one of the requested topics will be fl**ge fitting and pumps.

Nestlé is recalling specific batches of its SMA infant formula and follow-on formula.

This is due to the potential presence of cereulide in the batches below. There have been no confirmed reports of any illness but if you’ve bought one don’t feed it to your baby.

The recall notice states you can get a refund: If you have purchased one of these batches, please share a photo of the product and the batch code via https://www.nestle.co.uk/en-gb/getintouch or by calling our careline on 0800 0 81 81 80 (UK) 1800 931 832 (Ireland) and we will refund you.

You can switch to any other first stage infant formula (if you’re using a specialised milk please contact your health professional). I’m assuming the recall means the affected batches are now off the shelves but you can double check any new purchases.

Batch codes can be found on the base of the tin or box for powdered formulas or the base of the outer box and on the side / top of the container for ready-to-feed formulas.
