We’re proud to be part of MHA, which has once again been recognised as one of the Top 20 Large Care Home Groups in the UK by carehome.co.uk – for the ninth year in a row!

This recognition is based on feedback from residents and their families, which makes it especially meaningful.

A big well done to colleagues across MHA for the kindness, dedication and care they show every day. We’re proud to be part of it. 💛

🌿 Out and about in the community! 🌿

Our Turnaround Manager Anna Redpath and Relationship Manager Chermayne Bennett visited County Hospital, where they set up a stall to raise awareness about Weston and Queensway House care home.

It was a great opportunity to chat with staff, visitors and members of the local community, share information about the home and talk about the activities we offer – including our gardening group. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

Recently we have seen residents celebrate their birthdays and we have had a lovely week here at MHA Weston & Queensway House.

Anna from Musical moments came to entertain us.

Pancake Day was a huge success! Thanks To Becky (Catering Manager/Chef) and Sharon (Chef) And Jack (Kitchen Assistant) helping cook so so many pancakes.

Brian (Chaplain) led a lovely “Ash Wednesday” service.

Not forgetting our weekly Cooking activities.

What a fantastic Valentines weekend we have all had.

There was lots of games, quizzes, cards, roses & chocolates were handed out - not forgetting the fantastic cakes accompanied with refreshments from the jolly trolley.

There was a guess the name of the highland cow competition (won by Becky - Catering Manager) and guess how many tubs in the jar - (winner to be announced!) all money raised going to the residents fund.

We also had the fantastic Steve Flynn who came to sing to us and everyone got involved singing and dancing.

Finished off by everyone posing in the Photo Booth frame!

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend extra special for all our residents, there was lots of smiles, fun and laughter had by all.

Dates for your diary…..

Few things happening this weekend and the following few days.

We have a special Valentine’s menu on Valentines Day (Saturday) & Steve Flynn will be coming from 2:30pm - Steve has been a regular singer here at Weston & Queensway House for quite a while now and will be performing and singing some all time great songs.

There will be lots of fun games to take part in - and later in the afternoon - cakes and hot and cold drinks will be served from the “Jolly Trolley”

Not forgetting 2 competitions….

“Name the Highland Cow - and how many sweets in the tub” All money raised will be go into the Residents Amenity Fund.

Then on “Pancake Day” there will be warm Pancakes served to everyone with a variety of different toppings.

We hope you can all come and join us here - All Welcome.

Snowdrops represent Hope and Renewal - As early spring bloomers, they signify that winter is ending and better, warmer days are coming.

And all wrapped up, Robin enjoyed a nice walk outside around the grounds - to see our beautiful snowdrops that are out.
