What a lovely week we have had here at MHA Weston & Queensway House.
Monday - Chris (music therapist) delivered a fantastic group, music session.
Anna from “Musical Moments” came and sang and lead some gentle exercises to music & played the Ukulele & flute beautifully.
We also played a few games of Scrabble as it was “National Scrabble Day”
Tuesday - was our weekly Coffee morning with Ann (Volunteer) playing the keyboard and singing for us.
And as it was National gardening day, we did some indoor gardening - planting some lovely flowers in lots of beautiful flower pots - which are now outside in the patio areas.
Vicky led a music therapy group session in the afternoon - residents loved joining in with lots of singing, dancing and using musical instruments.
Residents also went outside and picked lots of really nice flowers from our garden and we had a lovely “Flower Pressing Activity”
On Wednesday - Melissa the hairdresser was in and residents enjoyed having a lovely pamper in the salon.
Thursday saw seated exercises lead by Alex - Activity Coordinator, flower arranging, our weekly afternoon film on the big screen was “Torvill and Dean” there were walks in the garden and book reading in the afternoon.
Brian - Chaplain did his weekly Services in house groups, with prayers, a sermon, and singing hymns.
And Friday saw Alfie - the donkey that came and visited us - photos to follow.
What a fantastic fun week everyone has had.
Lots of smiles and laughter.
