We were thrilled to hear one of our regular clients is pregnant! So we decided to try to debunk some myths about floating during pregnancy.

Floating during pregnancy is not only deeply relaxing — for many women, it’s one of the most comfortable ways to rest.

The high concentration of Epsom salt allows your body to float effortlessly, removing pressure from your back, hips and joints — something that’s hard to find elsewhere during pregnancy.

With water warmed to skin temperature so there’s no overheating, and you’re always in complete control of your environment. You can move, adjust your position, or stand up at any time.

(Though we recommend floating from the second trimester onwards, every pregnancy is different. If you have any medical concerns, it’s always best to check with your midwife or GP before booking.)

Thought you don't like sauna? On think again.

If you didn't like traditional saunas because you found it difficult to breathe or felt uncomfortable - we hear you!

However, have you ever tried an infrared sauna?

A saying that every parent has given a child, a Stoic maxim handed down by the philosopher Epictetus.

When you are constantly on the receiving end of a never-ending round of phone calls, emails and social media, it's not surprising we don't always hear what we need to.

Disconnecting for just 60 minutes in a Floatation tank gives your brain the real chance to hear more, and to rearrange the bombardment of information we give it day in, day out.

We regularly post about Fibromyalgia because of the incredible success Floatation sessions have in reducing pain levels for Fibro sufferers.

If you don't have it, hopefully it will make you aware of the cycles of pain that sufferers of 'Invisible illnesses' go through on a daily basis.

Positive Buoyancy (Floating):
If the buoyant force is greater than the object's weight, the object rises to the surface and floats. This happens if the object's average density is less than the density of water.

So when we make the water so dense in our pod by adding Magnesium rich Epsom Salts to the water, you will naturally float.

(FYI - It is more dense than the Dead Sea!)

So when your body isn't fighting gravity and floating naturally, it starts to work on any niggling pains like knee, back or shoulder pain...
