We're excited to share insights from a recent study that compared classical and sports massage using shear-wave elastography.

Both styles were found to reduce muscle stiffness in the erector spinae and upper trapezius muscles. However, sports massage, which employs deeper pressure, showed a more significant effect.

For therapists, this research highlights the importance of choosing the right massage technique based on client needs. Deeper pressure might be better for those with severe muscle tension, while classical massage can still offer great relief for milder issues.

Research shows that receiving massage twice a week for eight weeks can greatly enhance comfort and mobility, providing a safe and non-invasive alternative to medication.
