Rory Bratt's Personal Training

Rory Bratt's Personal Training I am dedicated to empowering women to achieve their body goals without the misery of strict diets! I focused more on my training and adjusted my diet.

Since a young age I have had a passion for fitness which started when I was at school rowing. Rowing has been a vital part of my development towards progressing with my career, this is how it all started. When I was 13 years of age I wasn't in the best shape, weighing around 105kg (around 16.5stone). It started to get me down mentally and physically I felt that I didn't fit in with the sports that

i was participating in. The first 2 years i wasn't in the best crew, competing in the lower end of the squad, not enjoying the training, losing the passion and the reason i loved the sport. This is where the determination kicked in and i knew it wasn't going to be easy but i was up for the challenge. Week by week slowly the weight started to drop and my performance levels started to rise. There were days that i struggled more than others but as i started to reach the weekly goals i had set myself my confidence started to grow. This reflected on my performance results which resulted in competing at The Royal Henley Regatta and also taking part at the Junior Great Britain rowing trials. Starting from 105kg I dropped to 88kg (13.8 stone) with a total loss of 17kg (just over 2.5 stone) From there I went on to participate in multiple events including cycling events, triathlons and half marathons with the latest one being The Great North Run 2016. Following this confidence boost i wanted to share my knowledge with others, to help them achieve their own goals. I'm here to motivate and guide yourself toward your personal goals, whether it be for that perfect wedding day, that local Park Run or like me general health and fitness. What have you got to lose, kick start that goal today and get in touch!

Happy New Year 2025!

I hope everyone had a great time off and enjoyed themselves!
Just like that, it's January! Very much cold and dark!

But it's another year, with goals to chase.

Remember, it's only January. No stress if you haven't got everything together yet. It's not a sprint, but more of a marathon for the year.

Weight Loss Can Be an Uphill Battle! 💪

I’ve been there myself.

Today, while speaking with one of my clients about my journey, I reflected on the best advice for those struggling to lose weight.

Here are my three go-to tips for weight loss!

Melbourne 2024: Over and Done! ☑️

First international race on the other side of the world.

Wow, what a shock!

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to race here. At the start of the year, this was one of my target events, aiming to race here and achieve sub 1 hour 10 mins!

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the plan today.

I feel like Manchester was probably my best shot this year so far.

But what I love about Hyrox is the community — the huge effort from everyone, all working together with good-minded people at different levels and with various experiences.

And the encouragement from others pushes you to your limits.

You can’t beat this community.

Now, it’s time to go back to the drawing board for next year and figure out where we can go from here!

One of the biggest strengths I’ve noticed this year has been my running. Over the last couple of years in Hyrox, my running has let me down at times.

But showing up for runs, even when I don’t feel like it, has been building blocks for progress.

Personally, I’m not a fast runner!
I’m more of a plotter but I can definitely feel my consistency improving this year.

So, back to the drawing board for next year... and I guess I need to work on my burpees! LOL

My time: 1:18.
