Aged 16-24 and look after a family member due to an illness, disability or mental health condition?

Caring for someone can be hard and it’s important that you still have time with your friends, focus on your education or work and can do the things you love and matter to you. This might mean you do extra work around the house like cooking or cleaning. You might also help them emotionally and with physical support such as helping them to get dressed or moving around.

There is support available from Tameside Carers Centres and they’re currently running a short survey to find out what would help you the most. The survey only takes 5-10 minutes to complete, take part in it here. (closing 3rd September 2025)
