๐ A Day in the Life: Diverse Wins with our OT Leeanne! ๐
โAt Tameside Private Occupational Therapy , no two hours look the same, and thatโs exactly why we love what we do.
Today, weโre pulling back the curtain on how OT Leeanne has been supporting two very different, but equally inspiring, journeys.
โ๐ Reclaiming Independence: Stroke Recovery
โLeeanne has been working closely with a determined stroke survivor on her path back to independence. Recovery isn't just about movement; it's about meaning. This week, they focused on:
โFunctional Mobility: Navigating the home safely to build confidence.
โDaily Living Skills: Finding adaptive ways to manage kitchen tasks and self-care.
โThe Goal: Getting back to the "little things" that make home feel like home again.
โ๐ Sensory Success: Empowering Our Youngest Superheroes
โOn the other side of the clinic, Leeanne has been "playing with purpose" alongside a wonderful young boy and his parent. When a child has sensory processing needs, the whole family feels the impact.
โLeeanneโs session focused on:
โTailored Sensory Interventions: Using specific inputs to help him find his "just right" regulated state.
Parent Coaching: Giving Mum the strategies she needs to handle sensory meltdowns or transitions at home.
โThe Result: A calmer environment and a child who feels understood!
โ"Occupational Therapy isn't just about fixing a problem; it's about unlocking a person's potential to live their best life, regardless of the hurdles."
โWhether itโs regaining skills after a life-changing event or helping a child navigate a loud, busy world, we are here to bridge the gap between "I can't" and "I did."
