At Hope & Horizon, we are very blessed to have counsellors who are dual trained, which makes our services inclusive and adaptable to ensure all our clients receive the right support for them and meet their needs.

We are pleased to announce that we have created a fresh new approach called:

๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ซ๐™š & ๐™ˆ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™๐™๐™š๐™ง๐™–๐™ฅ๐™ฎ ๐ŸŒฟ

Move & Mind Therapy is a counselling-based therapeutic approach for neurodivergent young people and adults, integrating talking therapy with gentle, purposeful movement to support emotional wellbeing and nervous system regulation.

Our therapist, Wayne, is a qualified integrative counsellor (MBACP) with specialist training in working with neurodivergent young people. Alongside this, he is also a qualified personal trainer and sports coach, with over 10 yearsโ€™ experience working with children and adults, including teaching PE in sports.

This dual background allows him to offer counselling in a way that recognises that for many neurodivergent individuals, regulation, communication, and emotional processing happen through the body as well as through words.

๐Ÿง  What sessions may look like:
Sessions are always therapeutic at their core and may include:

โ€ข Integrative counselling conversations
โ€ข Movement-based regulation (e.g. walking, grounding, gentle exercise)
โ€ข Space to pause, reflect, or talk side-by-side

There is no expectation to exercise, no pressure to talk, and no fixed structure. Sessions are guided by the clientโ€™s needs, pace, and capacity on the day.

โ€ข Experience anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or shutdown

As Christmas arrives, we want to take a moment to acknowledge that this season can bring up many different emotions. For some, itโ€™s a time of joy and connection; for others, it can feel heavy, lonely, or overwhelming โ€” and all of that is okay.

Wherever you find yourself this Christmas, please know that youโ€™re not alone. Your feelings are valid, and support is always available when youโ€™re ready. Be kind to yourself, take things at your own pace, and allow space for rest and reflection.

Welcome to Hope and Horizon Therapy. ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ

We are a team of professional, experienced therapists who provide easy access to therapy and counselling. We work with adults, young people, children and families and provide a compassionate, safe space to support you with lifeโ€™s struggles.

We offer a wide range of therapies including Person Centred Counselling, Integrative Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). We also offer supervision to trainees and qualified therapists.

Our sessions are tailored to suit your individual needs, which helps you to explore aspects of your life that you may want to be different.

We are passionate about supporting people with neurodiversity, and our therapists have specialised in the field of supporting clients with ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and PDA.

We understand that taking the first step into therapy can be a difficult decision. We promise to provide a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space to enable you to explore any difficulties you may be facing.
