𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🔥
Every year, around this time, my best friend and I come together for a burning ceremony to reflect on the lessons and highlights of the current year, while setting our intentions for the year ahead. It’s a beautiful, grounding ritual that always leaves us feeling centered and inspired.
A burning bowl ceremony is a sacred ritual for releasing what no longer serves us - old regrets, negative patterns, and emotional burdens from the past year. It creates space for clarity, healing, and new beginnings.
The process involves writing everthing down on paper and burning it in a fire. This ritual symbolises purification, transformation, and renewal. Whether done alone or with others, it’s often practiced around New Year’s Eve.
🔥𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀:
✨ 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 & 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 - Take a moment to reflect on what you want to release (fears, anger, bad habits, or past hurts), along with the challenges you have faced and the lessons you feel you have learned from these. Write these down on paper.
✨ 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻 -Safely burn the paper in a fire, candle, or fireplace, symbolising the release of these burdens.
✨ 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 - Watch the smoke rise, representing the release of your past to a higher power or the universe. This marks a moment of healing and transformation. You can also do this with an affirmation of your choice, for example "I release what no longer serves me," "I create space for peace and freedom."
✨ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 - Write down your intentions for the new year - what you want to call in, manifest, or grow. Burn this paper to send your intentions into the universe.
🔥𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲:
✨ 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼 - Releasing the past to make space for freedom and renewal.
✨ 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - Using fire as a symbol of cleansing and transformation.
✨ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 - Opening the door to positive change and growth.
It’s a simple yet profound ritual that never fails to leave us feeling lighter, more focused, and ready to embrace the year ahead.
Let me know if you decide to give this a go 🔥
