Did you know that consistently going to bed after 11pm could be silently sabotaging your heart? ⏰
Recent research published in the European Heart Journal - Digital Health found that people who regularly fall asleep between 11pm and midnight had a 12% higher risk of cardiovascular disease, while those who nodded off after midnight had a 25% higher risk! 😱

Your body’s natural circadian rhythm – the internal clock that regulates sleep-wake cycles – plays a critical role in cardiovascular function. When you stay up too late, especially past 10-11pm, it throws your system off balance:
• 🔺 Increases late-night cortisol (stress hormone)
• 🔻 Reduces melatonin (important for repair and recovery)
• 💔 Disrupts blood pressure regulation and endothelial function (key for heart health)

🧠 Even if you’re getting enough hours of sleep, going to bed at the wrong time puts stress on your cardiovascular system. Researchers suggest that the optimal bedtime is between 10pm and 10:59pm – aligning with your body’s natural rhythm and allowing proper overnight repair.
