What an amazing event! I met so many wonderful and inspiring nurses and learned so much. Can’t wait to share some of it with you all.

There was an interesting debate on Dr Harris’s Instagram yesterday about the emergence of new treatments. He, like me, believes that, whilst treatments with Polynucleotides and exosomes look promising, there needs to be a lot more clinical evidence to support their safety and long term efficacy.
What he consistently recommended in his answers was microneedling!
It’s been around for decades and we know how safe and effective it is.
Microneedling is proven to strengthen the skin, inducing production of collagen which improves texture, reduces lines, fades pigmentation, lessens the appearance of scarring etc etc.
It’s an investment everyone should make in their skin.

This patient had a large, slightly raised, seborrheic keratosis on her cheek that I removed a year ago with Plexr plasma. She recently came back for some more lesions to be removed so it was great to get a follow up photo. There is no evidence the lesion was ever there!

Seborrheic keratosis are harmless skin growths that most commonly start to occur after the age of 40. They can become rough and raised as they grow and the colour can vary from light to dark brown. It’s best to remove them with the Plexr when they are smaller as very large ones sometimes need a referral for surgical removal and have a higher chance of leaving a small scar.

Skin tags, even very close to the eye, can be safely removed in seconds with the PlexR plasma device. It’s painless and has a quick recovery.

Skin tags are little over growths of skin that most commonly occur in areas where the skin rubs, like the underarms, neck and groin, but they can occur anywhere.

They are very common and harmless but won’t go away on their own. They can sometimes itch or get caught and traumatised so it is a good idea to have them removed if they bother you.

The Plexr zaps them at the base and they fall off leaving a pin prick scab that usually heals with no mark or scar.
