We are delighted to share that Cambridge Reproductive and Gynaecological Care LLP (CRGC) has now received CQC approval, which allows them to launch their Gynaecological clinic here at The Broad Street Practice.

This marks an important milestone and reflects a collaborative effort between:
• Miss Ayshini Samarasinghe, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Peterborough City Hospital
• Dr Miriam Baumgarten, Consultant Gynaecologist, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge
• Dr Lukasz Polanski, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine, Peterborough City Hospital

The team combine clinical expertise with compassionate, personlised care to support your reproductive and gynaecological health, including:

• Benign gynaecology and pelvic pain, with a focus on menstrual issues, endometriosis diagnosis and management
• Gynaecological endocrinology, including PCOS and menopause
• Reproductive medicine and fertility care, subfertility
• Recurrent pregnancy loss
• Adolescent gynaecology

The CGRC team are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and to improving access to specialist gynaecological and reproductive services.

Virtual consultations will be available from the 10th of April, followed by face-to-face clinics starting on Friday the 24th of April.

With over 25 years of massage experience, Rebecca has developed a style of working that utilises techniques from across multiple massage disciplines: Thai massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, Therapeutic and remedial massage, stretching, Swedish massage and Sports massage. She is able to adapt her treatments to suit the patient entirely - depending on the desired outcome and personal preferences.

The best laid plans and all that.......

Sometimes things just don't work out as planned, and we are very sorry to announce that John Rothery won't be joining the practice as a new associate osteopath after all.

However, it's not the end of the world at all! Perry and Anthea will just have to shelve their plans for a reduction in clinic days until we find another osteopath to join our wonderful team.....

As is so often the case in these sorts of situations, it turns out, in the end, to have been the best thing to have happened - although that's sometimes not obvious until later.

We wish John and his family all the best for the future.

AN ANNOUNCEMENT

From the week commencing 23rd February, appointments with Perry and Anthea will be available on Mondays and Thursdays only, with occasional Saturday mornings. For the time being, both our lists are closed to new consultations.

We're not going anywhere and will continue to be very much at the heart of the practice but, after 30 years, we're taking a little more time for ourselves. Thank you for your understanding.

We warmly recommend our experienced and highly capable team of associate osteopaths & physiotherapists.

✨ Welcome to the team, Claire! ✨

We’re delighted to welcome Claire Sampson, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, to The Broad Street Practice. (She’s so new to us, we haven’t got her mugshot yet!)

Claire supports both women and men. She is able to address conditions such as bladder and bowel leakage, prolapse, pelvic pain, post-breast cancer surgeries and pregnancy related concerns.

She will also be offering post-natal checks for new mums, supporting recovery after birth and helping women feel confident, comfortable and strong as they return to everyday life. Claire takes a compassionate, evidence-based approach and is passionate about supporting her patients to get back to their best.

Claire qualified as a physiotherapist 25 years ago and for the last 4 years she has chosen to specialise in women's and pelvic health physiotherapy. Her NHS clinics at Peterborough City Hospital are limited and packed out – with people finding it difficult to get help in a timely manner, so she is choosing to offer an adjunctive private service.

📅 Appointments with Claire here at The Broad Street Practice will be available on • Alternate Fridays, • One Saturday morning per month. Clinics start on Friday 9th January.

We’re thrilled to be expanding our women’s health services and to have Claire’s specialist expertise.

This patient was seen yesterday and our tally of registered patients rolls on past the...24000 mark!....an average of about 3 new patients every working day in the 29½ years since we started the practice in June '96!

That's a lot of people from a relatively small community, and results from our efforts to be effective, honourable and trustworthy in our dealings with our patients, colleagues and the wider community.

As we go into the New Year we want to thank the good people of Stamford and beyond for putting their trust in us.
