On Friday, we officially opened our state-of-the-art gym, Boston Active, named after Wigan Warriors legend, Sir Billy Boston 🤩

A brilliant day as we officially opened Boston Active! 🏋️

Denise, Langtree's Home Manager, said: “We’re delighted to have officially opened Boston Active; the fitness suite will provide a great outlet for residents and staff. To have another amenity of this quality in the home is absolutely fantastic, and I can’t wait to see the benefits it brings to our residents." 💚

A huge thanks to Lisa Nandy & our very own Celia for officially unveiling! 🤩🎉

We've been teasing the opening of our new space all week, and tomorrow is the day we finally share our brand new gym with the world! 🎉

We can't wait to see our residents making the most of the new facilities with safe and convenient exercises tailored to their specific needs! 💪

Later this week, we'll unveil a brand-new space right here at Langtree 🤩

Not only will this new addition help support residents’ physical health by keeping them active, but it will also be a space where confidence can grow and mental well-being can truly flourish 🧠

Our ladies wanted a bit of pampering this morning — and who are we to deny them? 💆💅💇‍♀️

We enjoyed a relaxing session of nails and head massages, and our wonderful hairdresser was in to make everyone feel extra fabulous (not that they didn’t already!).

This afternoon was all about baking! We whipped up a delicious chocolate Yule Log and decorated it with chocolate ganache and festive sprinkles 🍫👨‍🍳🧑‍🍳

We’ve all had a truly lovely day here at Langtree. Have you been up to much?

We started our day off with a joyful Christmas singalong, reacquainting ourselves with all our favourite festive carols 🎅🎄🎶

This afternoon, we were joined by a lovely group of ladies who helped us create some truly stunning centrepieces for our tables. Don’t they look amazing? ❤️🥰👩‍🎨

It may be horrible and wet outside, but we were warm, snug, and full of festive fun here in Langtree! 🎄🎅🎁

We began our day with a lovely trip down memory lane, using our memory ball to spark conversations and help us recall some truly special moments 🔴🛣️😊

After lunch, we decided the home needed a little extra Christmas sparkle, so residents and staff joined forces to create lots of beautiful decorations for our dining area. We sang, we danced, and now everything — and everyone — is glittering magically under the lights! ✨🪩🎄

What an amazing day here at Langtree! 💛✨

We started our morning reminiscing with old photos, sharing the beautiful stories behind them 👵📸

The ladies remembered their wedding dresses, and we chatted about our favourite memories from the past 👰‍♀️

There were laughs until we cried — some of those stories were priceless! 😂💖

Then this afternoon we kicked off our very first Christmas Singing for the Brain session 🎶🎄

We practised our carols, added a bit of dancing, and honestly, everyone was absolutely brilliant! If we keep this up, I reckon we could have a Christmas No.1 next year! ⭐🎤

Feeling grateful for days like these ❤️

IT'S OUR VERY FIRST CHRISTMAS SEASON AT LANGTREE 🎄🎅🤗

We’ve been getting into the festive spirit, decorating our trees! Don’t they look fabulous and perfectly in keeping with our home design? Great job, ladies! 🎄❤️🤶

We also enjoyed playing our new Ouisí game — finding similar shapes, patterns, and colours. It’s been a fantastic activity, with everyone recognising different patterns and similarities in their own unique way 🧠😶‍🌫️😁
