Well, I didn't want to celebrate my 50th birthday, but my Worthington Lake family had other intentions...

I cannot thank everyone enough for being spoiled so much today!

I've had the best day ever and would like to thank everyone for your kindness.

Today I received a present from one of our former residents that will always stay with me...thank you, Florence 🥰

This week we've been busy in the garden planting spring onions, tomatoes, beetroot, sweet peas, and we've even sown pumpkin seeds ready for Halloween 🎃

Danielle, one of our wonderful Night Senior Carers, and Debbie Fogg are doing the 5K Race for Life on 8th May for Cancer Research UK, something that is close to their hearts 💚

Any donations via the link below would be greatly appreciated, or there is a sponsorship form at the entrance of the home 🏡

What a lovely start to the week 😊

Residents enjoyed a trip to the local garden centre, where Rita found a new plant for her patio, then fell in love with Freddie the frog, so obviously, he came home with us! 🪴🐸

Other residents were keen to plant sunflower seeds 🌻

While others enjoyed musical Mondays with Helen 🎶

A huge thank you to Raymondo for his weekly quiz, which always goes down well 🙏 😀

Others enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra while sipping a brew in the sunshine 🌞

Well, have we been blessed with the weather 😌

Today we decided to go to the lake with a picnic, where Ste and Niamh turned up with ice creams ☺️

Rita has been so busy watering our garden and the strawberries with Pete 🍓

Music was playing inside, which everyone enjoyed, and we made some beautiful suncatchers in the sun with ice lollies.

We can only imagine what a lovely summer we have to come 🌞

So our Jan attended a choir group at St Thomas the Martyr Church, and today they visited our Jan's home. How beautiful to hear them sing for all our residents 🥰

Yesterday was International Scrabble Day, so we had lots of fun with games 🙃😍

We also enjoyed a lovely spring day picking daisies out of the garden and making daisy chains 🌼

Well, it was a full weekend of sports with ladies' day, the Grand National and Wigan Warriors 🏉🐴

Well done to Loretta for winning the sweep stake, receiving beautiful flowers and with a bit of Dola AI, we could have actually been there 💐🤣
