Merry Yule! 🌲🥳

Tonight is the longest night of the year - Winter Solstice, a quiet pause in the wheel of the seasons.

A time to rest, reflect, and honour all that has been shed in the darkness.

From here, the light begins to return. Slowly at first, almost imperceptibly - but it does return.

A gentle reminder that even after our darkest moments, hope, warmth and new beginnings are already on their way.

May this Yule bring you peace, comfort, and a soft rekindling of your inner flame.

However this year has been for you, know that brighter days are growing again 🔥

Mother’s Night -
A Forgotten Part of Yule 🌲🪵🌲

Mother’s Night is an ancient Anglo-Saxon tradition, once held at midwinter, as part of the wider Yule celebrations.

While Yule marks the turning of the year and the return of the light, Mother’s Night honours what comes before that - the dark, the womb, and the mothering forces that hold life quietly while it prepares to be born.

It was a night dedicated to the mothers, ancestral mothers, the feminine line, and Mother Earth herself - acknowledging that all growth begins in stillness and waiting.

Mother’s Night reminds us that rest is not empty, darkness is not wrong and much of life is formed unseen.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is slow down and be held by the dark 🥰✨💜

Life is full of giving and receiving. We can’t be on one side of that forever
If you are someone who is always willing to help others, buys presents for everyone that you can and give all of yourself to others then remember that’s it’s just as important to be able to receive that same energy back.
Just as you find you own joy in giving to others, people find joy giving to you too so don’t refuse and let people give you love.

On the other hand if you are someone who is used to receiving or having people care for you then try to step up your game of giving especially this Christmas. Give people your time and energy, you don’t have to give expensive gifts just show up for those that you love just as they do for you

Winter Solstice & Yule are nearly here… 🥳

As the year gently turns, we’re coming up to the Winter Solstice – also known as Yule – the longest night and the turning point where the light begins its return.

Long before we celebrated Christmas, we celebrated Yule, the Earth, and the turning of the seasons.

We gathered at the Solstice to honour the dark, welcome the light back in, and trust the natural rhythms that carry us through life.

This is a turning point on the wheel of the year, where darkness has had its time and the light begins to reclaim space 👏

The days don’t suddenly get brighter overnight, but the promise is there 🙏The light is returning 🙌

Yule reminds us that rest is not laziness and stillness is not stagnation. Nature has gone inward – and we’re allowed to do the same.

Light a candle, wrap up warm, sip something comforting and give yourself permission to slow down.

I’ve learned to love this time of year because it honours both the shadows and the spark of new beginnings. The lessons of the year have been felt, the shedding has happened, and now something new begins to stir.

So whether you mark 21st December with candles, evergreens, reflection, or simply a deep exhale… know that you’re right on time 🥰
