A wonderful day had by all at the Just for women centre last Thursday . We would like to thank everyone who helped and also who attended. It was a fantastic day and managed to raise £168. Well done everyone x

It’s been an honour today to speak to Marie-Helene Sanderson after she swam around the Jersey coastline (36miles) to raise money for the Just for women centre. This amazing woman raised £3000 for the centre , we are so grateful for what she has done .WELL DONE you fantastic lady

🌍 Feeling Overwhelmed? Try Grounding — A Simple Way to Reconnect 💜

Grounding is a powerful technique that helps bring your focus back to the present moment — especially when anxiety, stress, or trauma feel overwhelming.

🔎 What is Grounding? Grounding uses physical, mental, or sensory strategies to “anchor” you in the here and now. It’s often used to manage anxiety, panic attacks, or dissociation.

💡 Why It’s Beneficial: ✅ Reduces feelings of anxiety and panic ✅ Helps you feel more in control ✅ Interrupts negative thought spirals ✅ Reconnects you with your body and surroundings ✅ Can be practiced anywhere, anytime

👐 Simple Grounding Techniques to Try:

5-4-3-2-1 Technique – Name: 🔹 5 things you can see 🔹 4 things you can touch 🔹 3 things you can hear 🔹 2 things you can smell 🔹 1 thing you can taste

Cold Water Splash – Run cold water over your hands or face

Barefoot Walk – Feel the ground beneath your feet

Deep Breathing – Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4

Hold an Object – Focus on its texture, weight, and temperature
