Sciatica & Migraine are 2 intransigent conditions that respont very well to Osteopathy. In fact an Osteopath should be everyone's 1st port of call for sciatica! Going to your GP is like going with toothache! Wrong!!

Here are 6 Tips to help keep you well in 2026
1) Drink plenty of water
2) Make fruit & veg a major part of your diet
3) Keep active; remember movement is the cure & sitting is the new smoking!!
4) Don't visit your GP with a bad back as it's like seeing him for toothache!!!!
5) An Osteopath should be your 1st port of call for any back or neck ache, headaches or sciatica
6) Stress is always a spanner in the works for ones health! To combat it go for a walk, find someone to talk to & learn some form of relaxation.

Who do you know suffers with Sciatica or Migraine?
Two the most uncomfortable conditions!
Sciatica is not difficult to treat by an Osteopath as it is our speciality! It is caused by muscular & joint tightness at the base of the spine and responds very quickly to our massage & manipulations. Please don't go to your GP with this as you will delay your recovery!!!
Migraine is a rather more complex condition that needs an all round treatment including Osteopathy on the neck, Digestive supervision and Stress Management.

Grrrrh!!!
One hundred & fifty years ago Osteopathy was conceived and thirty years ago it was State Registered in the UK.
Osteopathy is the primary treatment for all spinal aches & pains including sciatica!
Osteopaths are also fully medically trained!!
So, why do people still go to their GP with back ache??
It's no different to going with toothache! You just wouldn't!!

Who do you know is a Migraine sufferer?
It's a very stubborn and painful condition and needs an all round approach to provide relief. That's what I do.
As a former sufferer I know the process required to get significant relief!
Osteopathic massage & manipulation to the neck and shoulders is the starting point but because of the intransigence of the condition it requires more, and this is what I provide. Food allergy assessment, controlled fluid intake along with the often over looked stress management is the way to tackle this complex problem!

Just a quick reminder to take your suitcase down stairs & pack it by your washing machine if you are going on holiday!
This removes the strain of carrying it fully packed down your stairs!

I see quite a lot of patients after their holidays as they over do it, one way or another?
